I have a kr808 which has so far been good for me. I rotate between 3 batteries. They seem to be losing the charge quicker. I think I may need to clean them. How do I do that? Also, I take them off the charger when the green light is on but have been waking up to a dead battery in the A.M. How do I get the batteries to hold a charge? I would appreciate any help learning how to do all of this. I feel like a kindergatener again, seeking knowledge :)...

For my kr808s, I get a q tip, a little bit of toilet paper or a paper towel, hydrogen peroxide, and a safety pin out. I clean the inside of the connection by getting the q-tip wet with hydrogen peroxide and twisting it into the connection to get it nice and clean. I also clean the top and outside of the connection with the q-tip. Then I take the safety pin and poke them through the holes on the side of the connection. If there is black gunk stuck in the connection still I can use the safety pin tip for that too. Then I use the tp or paper towel with a little hydrogen peroxide to wipe down the whole battery. HTH :)

Is there any danger of harming the battery by doing that? I've read elsewhere that one shouldn't overfill a cartomizer because the juice will damage the battery if it gets into the connection -- is it all right for hydrogen peroxide? (Obviously, I'm not thinking of bathing the battery in the stuff, of course. Still, better safe than sorry.)

Also, how long should one wait after cleaning with hydrogen peroxide before using the cleaned battery/cart again? I'm sure inhaling hydrogen peroxide with one's juice is going to be a not pleasant experience. :)

You don't want any liquid going down a kr808 battery. But hydrogen peroxide, or realy strong alcohol, will evaporate, and probably be ok. I use vodka, and am carefull, and never have had a problem. Like recomended here, use a q-tip so as not to saturate the bat. everything else with the safety pin ect. is correct.

About filling the cartos, just blott them on the connection end with a paper towl untill you don't see any juice. then your good to go. If a carto is old and dry filling them even half full could result in them flooding and destroying you battery as the juice can run down the inside and not get absorbed in the filling. You can certainly still use them, just be sure to blott all cartos with an 808 bat. Also rolling the cartos in the palm of your hand can help disperse the juice.
