I've only been doing this for three months. A world of confusion, I fear.

The T2 has a top coil, with long wicks to absorb the liquid. (like a Vivi Nova or iClear).
The T3 has a bottom coil, with short wicks to absorb the liquid. (like an EVOD or Pro tank).

I have tried both and prefer the T3 for flavor and not having to tilt to keep the wicks wet. Both types work well and it's just a matter of choice. (my wife prefers the top coil Vivi Nova)

Don't let all the batteries and liquid dispensing devices confuse too much. A simple battery on a T2 will work about as well as anything. Hobbyists sometimes go overboard with exotic devices.:p

I do simple cleans by filling the tank with everclear (you can use rubbing alcohol) and soaking overnight. Then rinse with water.

I'm also still a noob and haven't been able to locate all the info I'm seeking in the vastness that is ECF. Hope this is the right place to ask: I have T2s and not T3s. Superficially they look alike and I am not sure what the difference is. Does the cleaning/rebuild info apply to the T2 as well?

basically the difference is that T's coils is located at the top and ge T'3s are on the bottom, also the top on the T3 doesn't come off and refill from the bottom. I haven't tried the T3 yet myself and still am good with the T2's as the price to replace the coil is cheaper. as far cleaning goes, yea basically same methods apply depending on how u use. for me I use only one flavor and have 3 T2's and use once and just rinse everything out and let dry and just constantly rotate these, I use one full T2 a day on ave. this has worked for me for awhile now, every now and then if I get a burnt taste it's usually a little leakage through top and is in mouthpiece, unscrew and just clean it out and any juice you see around white rubber grommet that you see poking out, back to normal! good luck

Remove the head from the tank
Remove the little silicone gasket that sits on top of the wicks (don't loose it)
Grasp the long, thin air tube in one hand and the base of the head in the other
Wiggle gently and pull the air tube off being careful not to loose the two flavor (loose) wicks that sit on top of the coil (do not loose these, either)

At this time you can clearly see the coil and you can dry burn.

If you want to dry burn the flavor (loose) wicks, grasp them with tweezers and burn using a torch or cigarette lighter.

Be sure to rinse everything again to get rid of the burnt ash before reassembling.

Great info tanks ...

Can you pls clerify how you clean the head part ? Any cautions to be taken ? Or just rinse under the tap ?

You can use the same instructions but instead of dry burning just rinse under the tap. Again, be sure not to lose the flavor wicks.

Or,

I have a 5ml syringe that I've attached a 1" (25.4mm) length of 5/8" (15.875mm) silicone tubing which will just fit over the 510 portion (battery connector) inside the eGo threaded part. With this I can force water through the head without taking it apart.

I have 2 heads I rotate every 24 hours which lets one dry while I use the other one.
