How do I keep the bottom and top wrap tight on a genesis style?

You should be able to do this then just leave plenty of wire on both ends to work with (wire is cheap) I would attach to the bottom first..pull it as taunt as possible...when I attach to the positive post I take my wire counter clockwise under the screw..again pull as taunt as possible without touching the wick to the post. Hope that makes sense...

I think more than anything it just takes practice... when I first started I would have to re-wrap my coils often since they weren't the best..but your wick should be fine. Just try to get the wick as close to the post as possible without touching and then once installed 'pulse' the coil slowly to check for hotspots. If you go to the ProVape website and select a ZAP there is a great video Zen did on wrapping a wick/coil that I watched many times when first starting. Patience is the key..

when i started doing this i hit up harbor freight and got a precision screw driver kit cost like 2 bucks and had 12 screwdrivers in it and they all have different size shafts.

you can put a paperclip into the wick then the wick will be stiff enough to pull the wire leads to tighten the screws down.

but something like a screwdriver or drill bit is ultimately best as you can make the coil tight, snug and even before putting the wick in.

Dont tighten down your leads too much either! This causes excessive pulling on both ends of your coil...a common problem for a lot of people who use RBAs.

You just want to secure the wire, don't strangle the wick or stretch your coil by trying to drill the screw/nut down onto it. Just a nice snug tight!
