How do I keep up?

I am sitting here waiting for my other computer to finish with it's hard drive issue and browsing the ECF, I always go to new post and that is usually how I keep up with things in general on th ecf. i noticed though that i have not been to the women's room lately and a couple other places I usually go. So this makes me wonder, If I subscribe the the board will I be able to keep up better? What do you all do to keep up? Do you just go to the women's room or other social boards from the main page or some other way?

I am basicly nosy! I look around and poke my nose in every corner! But when I don't have time..I just check, V4L and the ECF vets forum.
I am not sure how the 'suscribe thingy" works but give it a try and report back!

I go to 'thread tools' and 'subscribe to this thread'. Then after my regular stuff I'll check the regular 'pages' and just look for what interests me. Hope that helps!

what notsogood said If you subscribe to thread you will receive an email each time something is posted to the thread you subscribed to. But you still have to be like MK and nose around for new stuff. Good luck

Yep i do subscribe to the threads already but if I am not subscribed to something new that I dont know about. The thread gets lost before I even get to read and subscribe or not. and god forbid I miss the email and dont reopen the thread LOL because then I get no new updates.
I will just have to come snooping more often. LOL

Very usefull info here..but can't there be a way to alert you to a new post in the thread/threads you want to track besides an e-mail??I have my Pm set to pop up on the screen if anyone pm's me, so I know theres a pm, can't that be done the same way with a thread post????Anyone??

There is a new post button under the Quick Links tab.

How do you set the thingy for the PM to pop up??? Crap, I can't even figure out how to set my page w/ different colors.

Maybe I am just jonesing for more ecf during the day. Lately I havent been spending as much time, due to several real life obligations, like kids , hubby etc LOL
I did have a stupid computer issue a couple weeks ago, my power supply died and I had to argue with India to fix it. I could have just bought a new one but was being stubborn since I have a decent warranty on the box with problems. They finally sent someone out to do what I told them in the first place. Now it seems the hard drive decided it need to be reformatted , at least I hope that is the problem , otherwise i will be having to talk to India again for get a new hard drive. All these things take away from my ecf time ARG!!! lol And really this teeny screen on this netbook really stinks.
