How old are you...JK

Sometimes they are ......ed and need to be squeezed and pushed down. It may be a cheap bottle that gears are slipping.

I first saw this yesterday and thought it was a simple case of user error.

Just a moment ago I was refilling a tank and tightened the plastic cap back onto the bottle, then heard a snap -- I can't get the cap back off. I have a feeling the same thing happened to the OP -- the threads may have broken and the only way to get it open now is with brute force.

edit: sneakerpimp's first suggestion worked like a charm. The threads of the cap are now fused with the threads on the bottle. Simplest solution is to empty the contents into a bottle with better threads.
