Unfortunately there's no way to stop it completely. You're inhaling a vaporized liquid, so condensation is inevitable, and furthermore, dripping inevitably leads once in a while to over-dripping which means excess juice will run up the atty if you lie the PV on its side or tip the battery end up. A drip tip is about the best way I've found of minimizing the problem, however. The wide mouth keeps liquid from condensing around a small opening and popping like a bubble the way cartomizers and atomizers do, and the thicker base at the other end helps block liquid that's running down the sidewalls of the atty. You'll still occasionally get condensation along the walls of the drip tip that can deposit on your lips but it's typically only a small coating, not a nice juicy blob of it.

Note that I don't drip, this is merely my experience using it on cartos and clearos, but apart from excess juice and leakage the principle is the same.

I believe you are putting too many drops in at one time and while you're moving it around the excess juice is sticking to the side walls of the atty and because you're using an empty cart that the suction holes are only on the sides is why. I did that route also and ending up wasting a cart and drilling a small hole in the shelf toward the end mouthpiece till I got around to ordering real drip tips. Even though it takes a couple weeks to get them order from health cabin they are the cheapest and as long as you're ordering from them get some flavor for a buck for 10mil each. Welcome and good luck. Later Jerry

im not using a driptip, just using a cart, removing the cart and then dripping into the atty

This would be why. Those cartridges have narrow passages on each side of the cart, an empty area below the reservoir where the filler material goes, and a small air hole you suck vapor through. Lots of places for juice to accumulate. Definitely look into a drip tip. They significantly reduce the juice in the mouth problem.

Sorry Mind. I have to respectfully kind-of disagree with that one. At least for me, it's the other way around. I just did a post in another thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...u-not-use-drip-tip-if-so-why.html#post4210926

I avoid juice in mouth by using the carts. lol. So.... The only way you are getting juice in your mouth while using a cart is flooding the atty. It's a dripping experience issue. 2 or 3 drops to top off then vape until it needs more. If you do 4 drops, for example, the jucie will be pulled into the cart and then you will experience what mindfield is talking about and have to clean out the cart. So it can happen, but if you don't flood it, it won't happen.

The drip tips... even if you blow the juice through after dripping, can let more juice into your mouth. The condensation cups on the carts stop that. If it gurgles... it's a flooded atty or there's juice in the cart. Blow both out.

I can get both to work, but I find just using the cart avoids any juice issues since it gurgles and "catches" the juice before it gets to you. You do have to clean the cart out on occasion (every other day?) since moisture will collect in the condensation cup. Just pop the end off (pull out the little rubber stopper if you wish) and clean it out, then reassemble.

Yep. I bought three aluminum DTs there with my last order. They were sold out of some of the ones I wanted though, but they've definitely got 'em.

Ah the fun of learning how to drip, how well I remember.
Yes, there is a learning curve to direct dripping, just like anything else. It's easy once you know how, and a royal pain in the .... until you do.
All the information you need can be found right here on this site. There are threads about how to modify an atomizer in order to make dripping easier and more pleasurable. There are threads about what accessories make dripping more efficient. What atomizers to use with what, and on and on.

Get used to it. Tailpiping (I don't do much of it, but works in a pinch), atty's (all forms) or cartos, I still get a juice hit on occasion, especially if I am hitting it hard. Kinda like the old days, I keep a paper towel (much like a hanky) handy and just dab the lips of any excess. Along with the cigs of ol, I smoked a pipe as well. Keeping up with a PV is a LOT like keeping up with a pipe. A bit of upkeep is required.
