How do i put a picture attachment in a Private message that i have saved on my compter

I was trying to send some one a private message and put a pic of something in the message. The only option i see when i click on the "insert image" icon is adding a image from a URL but it's not a image on any website, the image is saved on my computer. How can i do that? Surely there's a way

I dunno. You used to have the 2 options of either URL or File.

Well, what the crap? I can't even "insert a image" on this unless it's from a URL I would almost swear just last week i posted pictures on here from my laptop

JSYK, They did an Update to the Forum Software a few day ago. Things like this sometimes arn't functional for awhile. Or untill someone notices that they arn't working.

I haven't been able to list anything in the classifieds for a long time because of this. I only have my phone, and am no longer able to get pics to upload on this forum.

the options for uploading pics in pms seem to have changed. to post a pic it requires one additional step - upload any pic stored on your computer to a free hosting site. there are several available - my facvorite: TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Yep, looks like the options have changed to url only.

Photobucket is a good place to drop your pictures and link to the photo. You don't even have to use the picture icon if you do that. Just click on the IMG code option under the photo on photobucket and it gives you a URL with IMG tags already around the URL. The click puts it into your copy/paste buffer. You don't even have to right click and select copy. You just paste it in the post and you are done. It's quick and easy if you open another browser window while you are on ECF in another.

That does eliminate mobile phone picture options, though. My smartphone browser doesn't support more than one browser window. I only post from my laptop, so it isn't a concern to me.
