How do I refresh my tongue or palate after vaping for hours?

I have lemonade juice that I vale once each day, usually after dinner or before bed. Works great for me.

I just got some "freckled lemonade" from MBV in as a freebie....I'll try that with mine (haven't tried mine yet....it's in "super-steep" mode lol)

.... And not to jack the thread...I notice that if I don't drink enough water throughout the day, then sometimes in the middle of the night I'll wake up because my tongue is like super dry and sucked up to the top of my mouth....very uncomfortable...

Here I thought I was the only one lugging around all of that juice! I think I carry 4 clearomizers with me wherever I go! And the extra battery, and a charger "just in case"! Backups for your backups! If something starts tasting off, a simple switch to a new flavor works great!

I do the "just in case" also. Better to have it and not need it than forced to buy a disposable. I have a few preloaded Nanos for when the taste buds get numb.

I am going to try the dill pickle approach today. I sure hope it works. I really don't want to vape today because of my mouth. It isn't just my tongue it is my whole mouth. I do believe it is from being dehydrated so I will also give water a real go. instead of just occasionally taking a sip. thank you all again for your generous advice.

Good luck TheresaD, I've had the vapors tongue and while it's not pleasant, it will hopefully pass quickly. I don't have it today, but I think I'm going to try dill pickles and hawk sauce with my coffee. Yum! :vapor:

Hello!

I switched away from SLS toothpaste & mouthwash. I was using Biotene, but it's ferociously expensive, so I switched over the the Walgreen's store brand, and I find that it works just as well for much less money. And I use a tongue brush every time I brush my teeth, which also helps.

I vape mostly unflavored with just a splash of flavored juice mixed into it. Despite using less flavoring, I find that I can taste it better and enjoy it more, because the flavor stays consistent - it doesn't fade after prolonged use.

One of the health benefits of vaping is that it keeps me honest with my hydration. I drink more water now than I ever did, easily a gallon+ every day.

I had a major, major case of Taste Duds when I first started, and this is the only thing that works for me. Doing it like this keeps me from having to switch out juices, which is good, because I only have a couple of tanks, and using the mostly-clear juice keeps the heads alive much longer. I've been vaping since mid-February and this is the most contented I've been with it, so I highly recommend that.

BTW: I use a plain old ego battery, no variable voltage gear, and even though I have a ProTank in the back of my vaping drawer, I use a Kanger T2 tank for daily use. I've found that I don't need anything fancy using the plain-juice-with-a-splash formula in my day to day vaping.

This is my first post as a new member. Been smoke free and vaping since Feb 1st.

I second the lemon juice remedy. It's good for you in many ways besides clearing the taste buds. Vitamin C and all that. I have always had a tendency towards dehydration anyway and my theory is I substituted smokes when my body was requesting fluids. Now I notice the dry mouth more and added the lemon juice to freshen my taste buds. Works good for me.

As others have noted, Biotene rinse works well to combat dry mouth but it's expensive. They also make a gel that comes in a tube that works out to be much better cost-wise since you only need to use a dab at a time. It's called "Oral Balance" by Biotene. I get it for my Mom, who has chronic dry mouth due to the meds she takes, and it works well for her. I tried it and, while the taste is not impressive, it does do a very good job of helping retain moisture in your mouth when vaping a lot.

I got it either at Amazon or Drugstore.com (can't recall which), but I think it's also available in stores.
