When I carry my gear in my handbag I usually take the tank off the battery and put it in a small plastic bag.
I have spent good money on my handbags and in case it leaks it offers some insurance for leaking.
I would also get an case to put it in when you don't use it.
When it is hot outside sometimes the liquid will leak from a tank. It will happen.
I even put it in a small plastic bag in that case.
I am assuming the tank is set up properly.
