just started to try my new vaporizer and first hit didn't go so well i am not sure if this is supposed to happen or what. so i inhaled smoke was cool then got hot REALLY fast i mean my mouth felt like i was drinking hot coffee right after brewing it and then i felt a weird thud in my throat as if the vapor rushed into my mouth all at once kind of like swallowing an entire mouthful of water all at once.

any ideas if this is normal or is my settings on my vaporizer off? it's a mod with VT. im running it on VW and the watts is at max which is at 59.7w, ohms is at like 1.something running a 1.0 ohm coil, volts is automatically scaled down with wattage as for the ohms idk if i can change that i assume i can't unless i change the size of my coil. The juice also tasted like a burnt marshmellow charred to hell. i just got everything new today.

any idea if this is natural or am i doing something wrong? i assume my wattage is too high ( any suggestion of what i should start it off at?

I don't go over 23 watts on a 1.0 coil-----just too hot and dry hits and pain involved.......

Stay at about 18 to 25 in that area with 1.0 and make sure you let you wick get good and wet by drawing on the mouth piece

about 4 times with out firing your mod button---and then try it......

im using the joyetech ego VT 60w. yea i started to play around with the watts and it's getting cooler but still kind of hurts in the back of my throat but i think it's at about 28watts atm will try reducing it more and adding airflow. atomizer is a joyetech ego one. i didn't suck on the mouth piece i let the liquid sit in my atomizer assuming it would wick up :/.

is there such thing as too low of a wattage though? i mean what if i go below say 15 watts?

It'll just get cooler....you may or may not like it that cool. It won't hurt anything. You will just need to find your sweet spot....but start low and go up. You may want to go down below 15 then work up a little at a time. You'll get there...and when you do, it'll be really nice. I love vaping.....waaaaay more than smoking....and I smoked for 40 years!

Remember, long, slow drag....

hmm yea i think i will try starting at 10watts last i tried was 18 and it was okay.. but couldn't really taste the flavor rather then smell it and i still had a hurting feeling in the back of my throat but my air flow was mostly closed as well. i opened it up fully but sadly can't toy with it atm, parents don't like me smoking although i am legal to smoke.

okay it seems like 11-12wats it good for me however i am now having other questions now 1. i am not sure if i am taking a long hit or not but when i go say 11wats and take a hit it is cold all the way through where as i go 12wats and i tried to take a longer hit and towards the end it started to get hotter and hotter; is this normal? was my hit with the 11wats too short thus why i didn't feel the burning at the end?

2. i can barely taste any flavor in my juice is this natural as well? i can smell it but i cannot taste it. how do i bring the flavor out more? the site i bought the juice from which is myvaporstore. it is 99% VG isn't the VG what carries the flavor or was that the PG and if it is at 99% VG what would that mean for me? i typically see a mixture of PG and VG i didn't look at the mixture sadly before buying this brand. i do have another juice i probably will try after i finish vaping this tank.

1. The first drag will be cooler, and any drags after will be warmer because the coils are heating up.

2. High vg juice is often less flavorful. I tend to prefer a 50/50 mix myself. I will only go up to about 70vg max. Also, is your tongue burnt from that 60W you tried? It may need a few hours to recover. Drink plenty of water as well.

PG carries flavor better than VG. VG produces more vapor. Also, 99% VG (thicker than PG) might be why you're not getting great wicking. I'd try some juice with a higher percentage of PG (at least 50/50) and see if it doesn't wick better and have more flavor.

If you've smoked for very long, your taste buds are probably a little shot....or at least in a state of limbo. It takes awhile for you senses of taste and smell to come back. It's a process. Good luck. Keep trying; it's worth it. Also, if you're smoking along with vaping, the process will take longer.

ahh i see might have to lower my wattage then or wait until tomorrow. naw my tongue is okay it's more of my throat that hurts badly that first couple hits screwed me up lol. yea i think i was looking at the second juice that i bought which said 60pg 40 vg and bought the one im using which is 99vg assuming it was 60/40 otherwise i probably wouldn't have bought it but hey it still smells good.

anyone know if i can open my tank and simply dump out the remaining juice and use the other one instead or is it best if i just vape the remaining of this one in the tank and replace it after it's almost gone.i filled the tank comepletely

I'm guessing you probably bought both the "joyetech ego VT 60w" and the "eGo ONE Mega VT atomizer tank" together as a kit. Or maybe you bought them seperately, but i suspect you bought them as a kit. I say that because i think you thought that because they came as a kit then the atomizer is designed to withstand the full 60 watts from the mod.

In any case a 1 ohm coil isn't designed to be vaped at such high power. Here's the vaping power chart.

Pour it into a small pill bottle or something and later you can dilute it with some pg.

yea i bought both as it came in a kit. nice chart will try those suggestions might actually feel better for my throat/taste better. do you have a chart like this for temp wise as well? i will be changing to a Ti coil after but it runs it on Temp instead of volts i think.

If there isn't a chart for temp control then there should be. I don't use temperature control so i can't help you there.

Go to the APV discussion area, then Temp Control. There is a long thread on the Evic VT. I don't have that mod even though i use ti coils. I know the ti algorithm is kind of off on that mod, so those who own it can best advise you.
