When you are on the page that you want to link to click on the address in the address bar of your browser (where it says http: ) with the right mouse button. Choose the Copy option. When you are in the reply are that you type your message in click on the little world button at the top and it will give you a box. Right click the mouse there and use the paste option. I hope these instructions make sense, since I just learned how to do this the other day :).

BTW, great avatar choice!

How do I, in one thread, point to a single post in another thread? Be gentle with me!!!

See the number on the top right of the post, your post says #1 mine says #2. Right click on it and you get a menu, click on "copy link location" or something similar depends on the browser. You can then paste this "link" into your post

Edit: My post says #3 because I was slow!

At the bottom of the post on the right you'll see "Reply" & "Reply With Quote". Click on either and it will reply to that specific post. The very bottom of the last page on the left side has a box with "+ Reply to Thread" that will let you just add to the general thread. Hope that helps!

Oops...I was too slow!

Thank you guys. It's easy as pie isn't it.

One last question. I built a cosmetic mod and want to post it in the cosmetic mod area but I'm only allowed 5 attachments. I have 36 small photos that I need to attach so as to give a step by step description of the building of the mod. Any suggestions? I could upload them to my personal server but I'm afraid of running my bandwidth up on my server. Everytime I see someone using a service like photobucket the images seem to end up missing after a short time.

hmmm... then probably just 'chain' replies with the max photos in each ;) bummer...

Are you saying I can have 5 photos in the Original post and then reply to it 7 times with with 5 photos in each reply? I think that's what you're saying. It sounds like it might work. Hopefully no one will post inbetween my OP and my replies.

Can a moderator make exceptions for this kind of stuff or probably not?

hehehe maybe have the text and links prepped to copy/paste really fast into posts/replies... I'd think it would work...

I do have the text already typed out with picture numbers between sentences so I can quickly insert the appropriate pictures in the right places. That being said, I'm not the fastest car on the track. <grin>

That'd be a great question for one to jump in here and answer... I kinda doubt it tho'.

Thank you for your help Princessa. I think I'll start by uploading all the photos into an album and then check back here to figure out where to go from there. Is there a limit on the number of photos you can have in an album?
