Can you run a rta or rda on it? If so thoughts on 1.5 Ω coils

You can run whatever EGO/510 you want on it, keeping in mind its 11 watt max and 1.2 (1.0?) ohm limitations.

When I bought mine, I somehow had (mis) information that it was spec'd to fire down to 1.0, but mine doesn't fire below 1.2. If I were building coils specifically for the MVP (I'm not), I'd stay in the 1.5 - 1.8 range. MVP seems to work really well with prebuilts in that range.

Another thing I'll mention is, even with its wonky little trim ring installed, high profile 22-23 mm toppers look rather dorky sitting on it. My Taifun GT makes it very top heavy, and it feels like there's enough inadequately supported weight sitting on there to break something vital if it falls over. It's great with Aeros/Nauts/'30s etc. though.

Could you use a 1.4 coil with an rda on a 20W Istick? ive really been trying to get into dripping just dont wanna deal with sub ohm

I loved mine until I got into RBAs. Then I couldn't really get enough power. I'm waiting to see the new versions coming out, and may pick one up as they are durableand reliable. I was using mine to build on as every atty I had made a connection. So I miss having it here, but hopefully its new owner is getting good use from it.

The MVP has two main weaknesses. Power limit and the junk connector. The connector can be upgraded by someone proficient with a dremel and soldering, and the power range supports your atty's or it doesn't. A 20w MVP with an improved connector would probably be a much better choice than an istick. The new MVP's will almost certainly have better regulation, better connector and not have 22mm device overhang. The istick craze is almost over.

I love mine with most of my tanks such as my pro tank, vivi nova and the included iClear but when it comes to my two Nautilus tanks, I'm not having a good experience and it's putting off a moist vape with little production. I really don't think it has enough power for those BVC coils.

The MVP is great for beginners but now that I'm a couple months in, its going to become my back-up, very shortly. I'm strongly considering a DNA 30 to use with these tanks as well as the Atlantis which I plan on buying once the buzz is over and I can get one for $20 or $30.

If you want to get into dripping, then the MVP isn't a great choice.

I run a 1.1ohm dual RDA (2 x 2.2) on the iStick and will do so on the "new" MVP when it arrives. Even the iStick with 1.1ohms isn't the best choice, and that's up bang on 20w.

The MVP set a max (11w) with a single coil dripper won't exactly win any prizes....

I have one and it was great for me when I got it but knowing what I know now and knowing what's out there, I would get an iStick before I'd get an MVP. Particularly with the recent releases of sub ohm tanks, odds are you will be looking for a device that will go up to somewhere between 20 an 30 watts in the not to distant future. I wish someone would have given me some more long-term advice when I was looking at batteries, a while back. Then, I wouldn't have so many stepping stone batteries/mods sitting in the closet. I would have actually SAVED money had I gone to something with 30w (at least) right away. You can run just about any device on a 30w box but a 20w max is still going to be limiting.

Just take the new Atlantis tank. It shines (for most people) between 20w and 25w. The vapor and flavor simply blows the other Aspire tanks out of the water. I couldn't, in good conscience, recommend the Nautilus line to any friend. So, to me, the MVP (even the v3) is already outdated and not a smart purchase. Not when there are all sorts of inexpensive box mods (i.e. Hana clone, Clouper, etc) offering 30w or more for a similar or only slightly higher price point.

Sometimes spending a little more, getting something a little bigger and a little better, is the CHEAPEST thing you can do. JMO

I don't believe the iStick can fire below 1 ohm though.

i got mine last Christmas, and i was loving everything about it - until i realized it was a little to big for personal carry. for the last 6 months its ben my home battery and my dedicated ohms reader for when i rebuild my kanger heads.

getting an istick soon to "replace it" as the centerpin is getting pushed too much despite pulling it out many times... if the istick doesnt live up to its hype, i might replace THAT with another new MVP :)
