Most juices like cinnamon and soda pop flavors will say in the description, "are known to crack or damage plastic tanks" on most vendor sites. I use cinnamon in a lot of my juices, even at 2% strength, they will mess up plastic tanks. I now use all stainless steel tanks, and won't buy an atty that doesn't come in full metal jacket versions. Tend to stay away from glass attys too, unless it comes with a stainless option or is a really fracking good, must have rba. Glass breaks, but is good for all juice. Stainless doesn't break. Much more durable of an option.
Some flavors contain an ester group this type of chemical may react with different types of plastic well known example is BPA plastics company's that have flavors that react with some plastics will almost always label there product with "not for use in plastic devices" or something like that
Also beware of some banana flavors. I have cracked more than one tank on banana flavored juices. I know that any juices that contain triacetin will likely crack a plastic tank. Many vendors use flavors containing this ingredient.
Hmm, I used to use Mountain dew, red bull and lemon lime in my STV nova and never had a problem. My guess is that it varies from who you bought it from and which ingrediants they use
