I find VG less dehydrating and fuller/denser/moister in vape quality.

It's funny you should mention that. Since I started seriously vaping I *always* keep something nearby to sip on. I've noticed that higher VG doesn't dehydrate me as much as higher PG concentrations but... I'm also a mustache kind of guy! Today I noticed, when I blow out a BIG cloud of vapor, my mustache has tiny mist droplets in it, like walking in a dense fog. I don't remember the high PG juices that I started with having that effect ;)

Good point! It's often said on this forum (and elsewhere) that PG carries the flavor better and VG mutes flavor but supplies more vapor. I find this to be mostly true as well. When I'm intending to cut a juice down with a bunch of extra VG I'll usually opt to get extra "flavor shots", etc. to make it up... not just the dilution, but the higher VG concentration as well.

Ohhhh I never thought about that in regards to more VG. hrmmmm I must test this theory with a new order =)

End of last year I was direct dripping the same juices, one 80/20, the other 20/80, side-by-side for a few weeks. It really solidified my preference for VG.

thanks everyone!! really glad I brought it up. it seems that I'm good at 50/50 while my taste buds get reset. I appreciate all of your input....and @ Oktyabr....too funny about your mustache! :D

Glad to help roonies, even if all I gave you was a laugh or a smile :)

One other point... some say a higher VG can coat your tongue more and mute your tastebuds even further. Drink lots of water and when you brush your teeth give your tongue a good cleaning too!

I basically did the same sort of experiment myself... this is also the experiment where I learned to opt for an extra flavor shot or two when ordering higher VG... I bought one bottle of juice at 18mg, 80/20, no extra flavor. I liked it pretty well so I re-ordered it. By that time I knew I liked higher VG (from trying other juices) and so I spec'd the same juice at 18mg with a 50/50 blend and 2 extra flavor shots. Perfect!
