Some juices will burn the wicks more than others, while the coils, after a dry burn, are still good. I see the wicks where they are near the coils get really burnt frail at times depending on the juice, usually a really sweet juice. I tried to take the wick out of one and replace it with a spare one I had that was still good, but I couldn't find a way to fit the wicks back into the coils. Anyone have any tips or advice on how they do this?

Okay, replacing Silica wicks is not simple. Wicks are designed to ride snug against the coil so pushing rarely works. Pushing tends to flair/fatten the wick.

You can try screwing the silica through the wick:
Trim the end clean
Wet the very end with e-liquid or water
Twist the tip in the direction of the silica twist to tighten
Twist into/through the coil in the same fashion

Best way is to simply purchase a few spare wicks in your preferred resistance.
They simply screw on.

I still use my T2. I have 2 ways of building coils. Either I use silica and it's use->burn->trash. Or i just build an empty coil and wick it with cotton and replace it everytime I feel like.

There is no such thing as replacing silica wicks. It has the same diameter even when it's soaked so you'll always have leaks. Use cotton, it will expand while wet and seal the leak.
