Okay, I got my first tobacco mix today, but I can't taste it because of the fruity flavors overpowering it. I've looked up vids and looked at other posts on how to clean them, but they all talk about using things I don't have. Like the blue foam that I do not have available and using regular foam as a replacement. Well, i don't have any of that. Here's what I do have: A nicstick cart and the stuffing that's in it. How can I take this fill out, clean it, and put it back in? I tried it once already, but it didn't re-stuff the right way and therefore wouldn't give me my regular hits. I tossed that cart out. I currently have the other two carts that came with my starter kit. I've already pulled the stuffings out, ran them under water, dried them, and scrubbed the carts clean; however, the stuffing still smells a bit like fruity e-juice, which is what I'm trying to avoid. How can I get rid of this smell, and how can I restuff these two carts without messing them up? I'd like to add that I was very careful while taking the fill out this time. The first time, I used tweezers that were too sharp and ended up tearing the fill and ripping it apart. This time, I used a thin, metal rod and shoveled the entire fill out without tearing it, so it's virtually the same as it was when it went in. I want to be very careful about putting these back in so that I don't mess these carts up. They're the only two I have until my riva 510 lite bundle arrives and I can't make a run to town to buy anything to substitute as a fill until tomorrow and i don't want to go the remainder of the night without my vape  any tips?

I wish I could help but I don't know anything about your device. Without seeing it, I suggest flushing the filler out with a syringe and drying it in the oven for a little while on low heat. But you already said that you cleaned the filler and it still tastes like the stuff you had in it. Maybe someone who knows more about your device can chime in. Liberty Flights ships fast... your kit should be here by the end of the week and you can drip the flavors I sent out today (vs filling a carto) to see which ones you like or don't like. The carto I sent... don't fill it with something you haven't tried and liked! When you get it, to fill it, drip about 30 or so drops into it, until the filling is saturated (but not pooling) and let it sit for 15 or so minutes.

b4, thanks for the tip! Sounds like a good idea and I'm going to try that. Any tips on getting the fill back in without messing it up like I did the first time?

Donnah, That's a great idea as well! I don't have a syringe, but this is something I'll look into for future cleaning. I'm very excited about the package! I've been wanting to try the drip tips like crazy, because I've heard very good things about dripping and it seems pretty convenient for vaping while I'm at home or at my dorm :)

After I get these cleaned, I'm going to seperate my tobacco flavors from all other flavors. I just got max-boro, which I've heard is one of the closest tastes to real cigs, but the problem is, I can only taste the pineapple that's left over.. I vaped pineapple from both carts, so there's no getting around this :/. I can taste other juices that aren't tobacco over one another. For example, I can taste my pineapple over my black horsepower, or my coffee over my joosy fruit. I cannot, however, taste my max-boro AT ALL. It tastes like weak, leftover fruit juices. Haven't restuffed and tried since I rinsed them and cleaned them, but as I said, the fill still smells fruity, so I'm assuming it will taste fruity. I'm going to use the boiling technique.

Thanks for the advice!! Now about restuffing.. Is there anyone that can suggest a particular way to do this so I don't mess it up? Again, it's a nicstick cartridge. I'm not sure if the fill for nicstick carts are any different or not, since it's the only kind I've ever used xP. From the vids I've seen, the fill that's removed from most carts seems more... Permanent. It almost seems like this kind wasn't meant to be taken out, but they are reusable and cleanable - or so I've read. >.>

I remember reading a post by someone here that said they used a little white vinegar in hot water to soak/clean them to get rid of strong flavors. Said the vinegar dissipates completely once rinsed and dried. Have not tried that myself though.

Thanks for this tip as well! vinegar is something I do have x) this combined with the boiling and drying SHOULD have the fruity-ness (lol) completely gone, I hope!

Awww.. I should have included a drip tip! I've got several but I didn't think about it! The riva kit you bought comes with empty cartridges that you can drip juice into, put it on the atty and vape.. but you'll need to blow out the atty first and drop a couple drops on it to prime it. When I did this I got tired of dripping into the cart (it only holds a few drops) and would just direct drip onto the atty. You don't have to have a drip tip to do this, just makes it easier, you don't have to take the cart off to drip.
The cartomizer I sent .. you put pop out the white cap, fill and put it back in. If you order more from ccv, you can choose from an assortment of free drip tips. When you get your kit, pm me and we'll see what you have .. and the best way to use it.

Okay! I thought you sent a drip tip because that's what was in the message, but that doesn't disappoint me in the least. I'm still very glad to be getting new gadgets and juice to try! Plus, I'll probably get a drip tip the next time I order anyway xP would have got one with my riva 510 lite bundle, but I didn't think about it. Oh well x)

Will do! you can be like.. my private vaping instructor. Teach me how to use all these fancy gadgets that I know nothing about :p

I don't know about nicstick carts, can't help there.

When your Riva 510 gets there, you'll get plain 510 carts with cotton-like polyfill in it. Tweezers & paper clips work on those. donnah is right, carts with polyfill don't hold much and tend to hang on to the juice at the bottom you can't vape. I use polyfill as well as little pieces of blue foam that fits 10-12 drops in a cart and don't hold back the juice. I NEVER mix flavors though, carts are assigned a flavor each, have 12 carts sitting up in a strip of wood (I drilled some holes). I fill them all at once, 2-3 times a day, heavy vaping. Hope this helps. Good luck!

As for cleaning carts & filling, I take the filling out and soak in very hot water, squeeze, soak again, no boiling, nothing else, flavor's gone.

I re-stuffed them correctly this time :) taste is better, but it's still... odd. I can taste the tobacco flavor, but it has a hint of something that tastes like coconut.. Strange, because I've never vaped a coconut flavor xP. Well, that's about all I'm gonna be able to do for the night. JustaGuy, I'm going to take your advice and pair my carts with each of my different flavors when my other carts arrive. I won't be making this mistake again.
