How do you feel about not being able to vape in a vape shop?

So the city council of Long Beach in California may pass an ordinance to regulate ecigs as tobacco and one huge thing that irritated me about what the ordinance says, is that you wont be able to vape in a vape shop. I work at a shop, and it's going to be frustrating not being able to vape while working, and it's going to suck even more for the customers that want to try out some new flavors to buy. If city council passes the ordinance then how are we going to help people try to quit smoking, if they can't even try first hand how the device work and how the flavors taste? Tell me how you feel about this.

I think you need to notify every vape shop in the area and every customer to lobby hard right now. Don't expect anyone else to do it for you, and best if luck.

I thought vape stores and lounges would be exempt from that law? I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere.

Also, put up a big banner, "While it is not a stop smoking device, 40% of the people I know that vape have quit smoking" come see what vaping is all about.

I would consider moving my business out of the city limits as soon as the current lease was up. Hit the city where it hurts, take their tax money away and give it to someone else.

Get a fog machine, plug it in, set it somewhere in the store and when Officer Friendly comes in to see what all the 'smoke' is about in the shop point to the fog machine you were 'just running.'

You can't fire a gun in a gun shop, however, there are special licenses if you want to open a shooting range. Where I live, you can't smoke where you buy tobacco products unless the shop has a special license permitting smoking and there's one that has one. That's the way vaping should be handled.... just get an additional license to permit vaping in the shop.

The long beach ban is different than the LA ban. LA ban allows for vapeing in the vape shops, Long Beach bans are all public indoor areas.
