I spend a lot of my summer on the boat. It will be interesting to see how many PV's I "commit to the deep"....
LoL...yeah the problem is that you can take all the precautions you like to protect something on the boat..but when something gets "commited" it's NEVER in the protection you bought specifically for that reason..
Seen it all too many times with people with dry boxes to protect wallet, keys, and cell phones..seems it's never dropped until the box is open so everything in it can make it's leap to freedom...

Just like I never had a problem with snug/looseness of a 510 cart till a few weeks ago at work while I was doing some rebar work and they were pouring concrete..cart stayed between the teeth and if they ever demolish that concrete footing someone is gonna find a bizzare artifact...that's why I only carry KR8s on the job now, they're my throw away models...have lost em from 8 stories up..then crushed by an I-beam, into a river while welding on a bridge..couple other places..

Cargo shorts. This man's best friend. I always have quite a few gadgets and things with me, and got used to wearing them, and the weight of every pocket stuffed with various things, from my iphone, to GPS.

I used to do cargo shorts...then cargo BDU cargo shorts...nowdays I went with a utility kilt...and it's tons more pocket room than the shorts..and way more comfortable...and breezy..

OH MAN those are incredible. Might have to invest in one as a trial run. Guess my celt ancestors were on to something after all.

(dahahaha, that's outstanding!)

Speaking of which, in general, how do these things hold up to moisture?
I can understand failure from being submerged but how about vaping in the rain? What about those places where it's so humid that moss seems to grow on everything? Of like a watch? where you can get it wet and it still works but you know it's doomed to die in the next couple of weeks?

Or is it just not an issue since every component is replaceable -- and I'm getting the impression that components are replaced fairly frequently under normal conditions.

I got the workmen's one and love it to death...lol...the snow and cold is killing me right now because I can't really wear it properly..but thermal long johns and the kilt work too..
Pockets are roomy as all hell..can carry many beers in the pockets

Ah, NOW I get it...

Lol well that's not the main reason I got it..I like the comfort of having the pockets on the outside and the freedom of movement..and my regular line of work clothes are usually restrictive (either a nomex jumpsuit, or heavyweight jeans, or overalls and a safety harness..so the minitue I'm not at work I prefer something roomier...that and I do medieval re-enactment as a hobby so it kinda covers double duty for me

Ok I mentioned the pelican case...I took a few pics of it so you could see it..

cut the foam so it'll do an ego set and 2 6 ml bottles on one side and regular 510s on the other side of the foam insert..
