And also the reason I don't like high voltage options either.
But I do use LR atomizers sometimes.
I have to pump the button a few times during the drag to keep it from running full steam though.

I haven't had a burnt taste with either VS juices or my own home made ones, I do tend to run a 50/50 mix maybe that's got something to do with it, the only time I get any burnt taste is when the atty starts to get dry.
Doesn't pumping the button defeat the whole idea of a LR atty? I mean, wouldn't you have the same effect by simply using a regular 510 atty?
I find the method of inhalation varies with many variables as mentioned before.

e-liquid composition
Atomizer quality, age
batteries ability to maintain consistent voltages, I guess a pass through would solve this?
How far the poly-fill is tucked in. I normally put mine 1mm below the top of the cartridge.
Dripping vs. no dripping
Topping off vs no topping
Voltage mods
The aforementioned points may effect the method in which you draw. Draw too hard after topping and I've had a mouthful of e-liquid. I'm sure there are more variables.
I'd say learning to properly hit your PV may take some trial and error. I normally find it most pleasant to fill my mouth with smoke, then inhale. That way I have an idea of the vapor before hand.

It defeats a good percentage of the purpose, but not all of it.
I can still get a lot more vapor using the LR atomizer, even pumping the battery.
How do I hit my PV? I place my PV on the floor, make a fist with my hand, and push my fist really hard and fast into the PV.
On a serious note, I myself observe the 4-5 second inhale technique. I currently only have auto batteries, so sometimes I do a quick primer puff before I drag, but I've found that it's really not necessary. It's become more of a useless habit. The first cartomizers I had were prefilled, and didn't produce much vapor or flavor at all. I was bummed until I ordered some blanks and juice from V4L. Flavor and vapor were noticeably improved. Just got a new flavor the other day, and now flavor/vapor is even better!

I have this too. I think it has decent vapor th. I have manual batteries and i hold them down a second or two before taking a 4-5 second draw.
