When I get the slightest hint of bad taste I refill. You can't go by the number of puffs cause different juices vape differently. Some vape faster, the thicker juice doesn't rewick the heating element as quick and need to have more time between puffs. Some liquids I can only get 10 drops in and some 25 drops in. They also need cleaning at different times. The 510 carto doesnt last as long between cleanings as the KR808D-1 and the V4L has a lower ohm rating than a 808 so it gets hotter and needs filled more often. You just have to keep track of how each one reacts with which juice. It's better to refill more often than have burnt tasting cartos.

I have one of those gun oiler bottles, that contains the juice I am vaping at the time, and put a few drops in the mouth end, by doing it this way, no need to remove end cap. I found there is a difference in weight of the cartomizer, ever so slight, but it is noticeable. I have one carto that I have vaped for 3 days, using this technique. The little oiler bottles can be carried with you, with no problem. Majestic Dreams Oiler is the name of the place I ordered from.

That is certainly not a chance I am willing to take. I have many carts that were burnt before the taste changed.

This post makes no sence, thats not a chance your willing to take?, and then you state you all rdy have burnt out many carts before the taste changed? then you allrdy have taken the chance and got burned am i right?
I need to see some proof of these carts that were burned, cos if carts are burning you should be able to taste it..

I personly taste a change when the filling is getting too dry, and then i just top it off. Never burned anything.

I just undid a cart that I thought was hittting a little stronger than most and sure enough it was dark in color from what looks like smoke and a darker burn mark on the inner wrap

it didn't have a nasty taste to it.

but the "smoke" was a little thick and strong

I had a feeling this was a little to good to be true

I've noticed that I can (accidentally) get a nearly new 808 cart to smell burned by drawing on it too much.

There's a GrimmGreen vid where he talks about slowly dragging on an e-cig to get more vapor. This sounded good to me, as I wasn't getting quite enough vapor from my 808... so I would take two or three lighter puffs in a row, with the LED going out between each. Seems like doing this repeatedly, even with a fairly new cart, leads to overheating.

I guess this is why there's the 5-second timer on the batts. Sigh.

I dont think so, i have opened them and i have never seen burnt filling, you need to keep vaping long after the diffrent taste imho.

really, well here is picture perfect proof.

I time my draws to 3 seconds every time. one of these is actually soaked in juice. This is disturbing. so far ive used three carts & three have burnt. I just didnt keep the first one.

EDIT: strike that make it four carts. this last one was BRAND NEW. I took four three second drags off of it, pulled it apart & it was already burnt. this is bull.....
