Other than the obvious if its $7 for 60ml, or it says it on the manufacturers site ( or wholesale site ) ..

I've searched , but all I really come up with is 'how' to steep.

I have juice from

One up
Vista vapors
Ritual
13th floor
Cosmic Fog
Halo
Ruby Roo
and many others, But I dont know what is steeped, and what needs to be.. If there is no indication anywhere, is it just based on the price? The bottle it comes in? A mixture of both?

Sorry for the question that might have an extremely obvious answer, but I was just curious :)

Generally, fruit flavors are ready to go. Tobacco/menthol, drink, and sweet flavors need time. For me, I vape mostly fruit flavors, and everything's ready to go out of the box. I have a cotton candy flavor that I had to let steep for a month. I generally don't worry about what brand it is, but what type of juice it is.

I haven't used most of the flavors on your list, but the Cosmic Fog should be ready to go.

If you are buying juice from a vendor that makes their juice it probably needs to steep. I usually steep for a week before I even try it. If you are buying juice that is factory made like Cosmic Fog or some such brand, it is probably ready to vape because it has most likely been sitting on a shelf for a bit.

Well, IMO, determining if it's steeped or not...isn't based on either of those things.

If you go to a vape shop where they custom make your eliquid for you as you wait, I'd say try it right away and see how it is (especially if it's a fruit mix). If it's not to your liking...let it sit for a few days and retry it. Your personal taste when you sample vape a bit, will let you know when it's ready.

On the other hand though, if it's made and bottled elsewhere, no matter what it is...I'd say that by the time you buy it, most likely it's already plenty aged/naturally steeped.

Gotcha.. I just ordered my last liquid from vista vapors, as one of the almighty youtube reviewers said it was the best liquid ever made, made him quit smoking, yadda yadda.. I got it, steeped , streathed , breathed, for 3 days, and it just takes like poo.. No flavor of berries, more like alcohol, with a mute drymouth taste. So I just didn't know if a top youtube reviewer and myself have a different view of flavorful, orrrrrrrrr....

Then I read that vista vapors, needs to be steeped for 1-2 weeks for a 32 ml bottle, and another person says it's good right from the mailbox...

Maybe I was just spoiled in getting a favorite company right off the bat, locally, vs looking at "best of" reviews.

If it tastes like alcohol it's because there was alcohol in the flavorings, and that will need to evaporate off it.

I am extreme sensitive to alcohol in my e juice, and have come across the rare e juice that has alcohol based flavorings..

What you need to do, is to remove the top of the dripper from the bottle it came in (DO NOT SHAKE!) And let it breathe.. it will need to breathe for anywhere from three days to a week, depending on how much surface area there is for evaporation..

ETA: you can smell alcohol, which means, when you get a new juice you can smell it too see if you will need to let it breathe in order for the alcohol to evaporate off it, before vaping and finding out the nasty way..

I bought juice in groups. Sometimes the same flavor would be in multiple groups. I did not vape a new groupthink the old group was basically done.

I bought a head of time so groups were allowed to steep. It did not matter the flavor. They all steeped together. I had, usually four groups in the house steeping in different drawers.

I never had an issue. The whole issue was not an...issue.

I DIY the same way.

When I first started vaping, I didn't look at any reviews online for eliquids, a set-up, etc. I talked to a few people I knew who vaped and several people at a local vape shop, etc. and decided then what I wanted based on their comments and suggestions. The eliquids I picked based on personal recommendations were terrific, and the set-up suggested by several people...worked to get me off the smokes.

I'm still not one to go by Reviews posted online by anyone (including many who are compensated for posting those reviews). Recommendations/reviews posted on here by pretty longtime vapers whose opinions I trust to be honest and not because of compensation...I do pay attention to though.

If you got lucky and found a local shop with eliquid that you like, I'd stick with that known "winner" in your own opinion. When/if you ever decide to DIY as far as eliquids then...you can always have not only great tasting ones (since you can tweak them to your own taste), but won't ever be dependent on anyone else's eliquid-making skills...or the lack thereof. You'll also know exactly what's in the eliquids you vape!

Like someone else said, if it taste and/or smell like alcohol then it will have to breathe(at same time it will be steeping). I just started steeping my self, I see you go to Halo that was my first Ecig brand. I am currently steeping the PG heavy Blueberry and Spearmint because this batch had heavy alcohol.

Far as strictly steeping to get the best taste this is what I do, I don't claim it to be the best. All my liquids I get online so I do shopping and look at reviews for the very site or 3rd party sites AND various forums. If folks act like or give reviews like its the best liquid of all time, every day vape, taste just like the name says etc..ect..........

If I don't feel that same way or get that same feeling then I'm steeping bottom line. Because this flavor supposed to be all that and a bag of chips. Then after 2 weeks minimum, if there is no improvement then I am moving on.
