How do you know when to change coils?

Been using Kayfuns and Russians for the last few weeks. Using 28g kanthal my coils are 1.5 to 1.9 ohm. I change cotton about once a week but haven't changed coils yet. After I pull the old cotton I dry burn, brush off, and add new cotton. When dry burning they heat from the inside out, and glow fine.

I guess what I am asking is how do determine when a coil needs changed.

Flavor and vapor production diminishes. You'll start to feel like it's "not cutting it". Then, change. You'll start to get a feel for it.

What Jay said. And you´ll get a bitter/burnt taste.

I had one micro coil last 5 months. I have no idea exactly how much juice I pout through that thing, but we're talking hundreds of ML. If its physically OK, lights up properly and there's nothing noticeably wrong with your vape, the coil is good.

I changed a coil once because I messed it up getting the cotton out (was too rough) but other than that... I've never actually "had" to change a coil. I've always done it when I wanted to. Some of mine have been in and going strong for months now.

Was wondering this too. I guess as long as it still taste good and it glows when you press the button we are golden
