I personally like playing carto roulette most of the time. I never quite know what my next vape will be that way but then again I almost always leave my mp3 player on shuffle too. I find some great (and some not so great) combos that way.

However Smokeless Image has color coded carto softcaps that can be used Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Multicolor End Caps - 5 Pack - Accessories and you could use matching colored rubber bands on your juice bottles to know which is which.

Somewhere out there
I have ordered around 20 liquid samples, and want to order some cartos that are black. My old white ones are out of stock right now. I used to just write on those. OR if you know where I can get white that would be great too! (I use KR808D-1 batts)

I have been using different colored stickers and cut the letter of what I want from it, like Tobacco is a "T" Menthol is a "M" if using Coffee it is "C" so far works pretty good and looks decorative :) I also put a sticker on my batteries so I know which one I just charged. I should order more different color batteries. But so far the sticker cut in shapes for cartos works good. bnrk

I label the box.

I never put untried juices in cartomizers. A manual KR808D-1 can use a drip tip with a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer (auto battery should use cartridges with it but if you can mange to cut blue foam stuffing for the cart that would let you remove, rinse and pat dry the foam). I use a manual battery, atomizer and drip tip to test juices, trying them from weak/sweet to strong to clingy and blowing out the atomizer between them.

Labeling filled cartos - you can use the colored end caps from SmokelessImage, or vinyl map dots, or or a paint pen, or white tape and write on it. Some use colored combos of orthodontic colored rubber bands (Ebay) but I kept losing those inside my 510's PCC (down inside) so I stopped using them. I use colored drip tips from LiteCigUSA.net on a couple of carto colors. The only time I use a paint pen is to distinguish LR ones and to mark batteries so I know where the battery came from or if I have identical batteries I mark the best ones with a dot of gold.

Vapor4Life has colored cartos for KR808D-1. I use a few colors.

... a Brother Label Maker. Found it on sale at Buy.com for $15

Bingo! I use the black or white on clear tape. I also indicate how many times my cartos have been 'flushed'. An example for Vanilla Bourbon:

VB - new
VB*
*VB*
*VB**
**VB**

This system allows me to closely monitor the performance and prevents flav mixing.

Shamefully I have to say that I do not have need to label cartos. I put some juice in one and vape it up. I guess I'm not too adventurous because I pretty much have a few flavors that I like and I stick with them. I am about to delve into the world of DIY though, so this may begin to be of much more importance to me.

Thanks so much everyone - lots of great information. I had no idea I could drip on an atty with my manual. This will help so much in saving cartos. What do ya'll do with the samples that you still didn't like even after steeping?

You can either try to sell or swap them in the Classifieds, or PIF them in the Social Groups sub-forum.

They go in the zombie apocalypse stash box, right between the .357 frangible rounds and the bottle of Cipro. Never know when you'll be able to get new juice after the end of civilization as we know it.

Definitely PIF them. Or you can go to the Treasure Chest sub thread and give them away to someone. One of the great things about this online community is how giving folks are. It just makes ya' feel good to help others too.

Dangit Iffy! You beat me to it! Speed typer you!! :p
