I ordered some last night from FT...will probably get it in 6 months, but hey, it was cheap[emoji3]
I too use the Beadalon Spool Tamers. I had never heard of them, but received some when I bought some miscellaneous wire from the Classifieds. I bought a bunch more because they were cheap and I found them useful. Otherwise, most of my spools have a hole or a slit that can be used to trap the end of the loose wire, and that also worked well for me for a number of years. I have a small plastic box that contains all of my spools of wire.
3 weeks to Germany normally...not more. I do not think that it needs more time to California!
I use the beadalon tamers. I bought what I thought was a 3 pack on amazon for a few bucks, when it arrived it was a 3 pack of 3 packs, so I gave a few to a friend.
I tuck in notch in spool or use a piece of tape
3/4 wide velcro rolls, (might be hook and loop, last ones from harbor freight? 3/4in x 35ft) cut to lengths around 9inch then cut in half length wise, used to wrap around spool
I buy on 2 3/4in, 7cm spools, or rewrap larger spools. think the last spools I bought are m-7.
plano 3700 series 4/15 to store and transport ,the tall ones. fits 46 spools per case

Fly tying bobbins.
I only use spool tamers for staggering.
Silp the wire in the notch or hole then bend it back. When you unroll it stretch the bend out.
