How do you use E-Cig to really feel it?

Hi,

I've been trying e-cigs (green smokes) for weeks. But I stopped from time to time. It's like having a real cigarette (vapor) But I feel like I'm not inhaling nicotine. I don't know when to stop smoking to have the same effect of a real cigarette. I've been trying 12mg, 18mg, 24mg. I usually smoke between 5 to 8 cigarettes a day.

I live in Canada.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to ecf....
you feel that you are not inhaling nic because you expect it to act like a cig....the nic is in juice......with a cig you get a straight hit of nic in the lungs....with ecigs, the nic is more absorbed in you nose and mouth and throat area.....it takes longer to get into your system....the idea is to ward of nic cravings for cigs, now if you are addicted to one or more of the other 4000 chemicals that are in tobacco.....well, all I can say, it it will get better with time......look in the stickies higher up on this page.....loads of great info.

:)

Ah, the infamous Green Smoke lol. That's the kit I ended up with after striking out with Njoy's Npro. I don't know how they operate now, but they were charging 50 bucks for a 10 dollar battery. It worked "ok", but dude, there are so many better devices on the market. You'd see a night and day difference with a regular 808 model from just about any vendor on ecf. Hate to sound like I'm bashing your ecig man, I just didn't have any luck with it. And I really wanted to. Seeing as how I spent good money on it, I really thought I was on to something.

Hi! Welcome to ECF!

I wouldn't worry too much about vaping a lot more than you smoked. You'll know if you've had too much! Like S&S said, nicotine is absorbed much more slowly and you take in less when you're vaping. If you're looking for that nicotine rush you won't get it from vaping. Besides, the "rush" is likely from the carbon monoxide that you get from smoking. Vaping is much cleaner and safer.

When I started vaping I discovered I need good tobacco aroma and good TH to feel satisfied and stop. If I tried to vape food or fruit flavors, I could not stop. The kind of tobacco aroma that worked for me was Turkish like FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship and I got 70pg/30vg so it had good Th and good vapor. Turkish Blends are a bit smelly - strong, nutty and a bit pungent. Desert Ship remind many (including me) of a freshly opened pack of smokes.

My other key flavor was Cocoa. FreedomSmokeUSA.com has a good Cocoa - dark, strong and barely sweet. If you have a wimpy or sweet tobacco juice, just add cocoa to make it meaner.

I think you may need a tobacco scent that really satisfies and relaxes you. And you have to smell the vapor! Most of the flavor of tobacco vapor is the aroma. Cigarettes cover you in aroma. Ecigs don't unless you remember to let your nose have some vapor.

After 2 months I was able to vape a lot more non-tobacco flavors. But one of my everyday juices now is a strong cocoa tobacco (which is mostly cocoa) - Vapor4Life WOWBacco. (BTW Greemcig should be able to use Vapor4Life cartos. As far as I know, Greencig in KR808D-1, unlike Greensmoke). Vapor4Life is KR808D-1.

And I think it would be a lot more satisfying to vape if you stopped smoking cigarettes.

Thanks Everyone! This is a lot to digest for a rookie like me

As you can see e-cig is not something I'm very familiar with. You were talking about 808 or Greencig in KR808D-1 (I guess this is the same) I will take a look.

According to your experience and taste, if I had to switch from green smoke to something else, what would be your advice? Please note that having a fresh atomizer in every cartridge is something I like very much.

Besides, this is not the first time I heard some "not that good" comments on green smoke. Unfortunately, not all brand are available in Canada.

I'm really excited because I was about to give up. When I called Green Smoke the girls just said "inhale about 10 times and it should be good". But as far as I understand, depending on how I'm inhaling, it can take more time.

So it takes a little longer to feel the nicotine. But I won't get the rush from carbone monoxide.

Thanks again

You shouldn't have to "inhale about 10 times and it should be good!" There are many models that will be good on the first inhale; the Green Smoke is obviously not one of them. (I think it's a KR808D-2 model but I'm not 100% sure.)

I would suggest that you buy one of the more popular models of ecig like the KR808D-1 (I got mine from Vapor4Life) or one of the upgraded battery models like the Igo, Ego, Riva, Tornado, PigCig, etc. I'm not sure how many of them ship to Canada but I know that Vapor4Life does.

You may also benefit from a good e-juice. It's very subjective but if you read enough here, you'll see all sorts of kudos for good companies. I personally recommend the Wow juices from Vapor4Life and the juices from MyFreedomSmokes. NHaler also makes some really good lung juice.

Good luck!

It took me a while to really get the hang of the "hit". When I first started, I basically hot boxed it, to really feel it. That stupid stuff they put in those starter kits (filling in the carts)..........yuck. Once I got a Reo, then I really "felt it", with a small, smooth drag.

This forum is really very helpful.

1 - It looks like Green Smoke is pretty much using the same device as the one used by vapor4life

2 - I heard a lot of good comments about Vapor4life. It's trusted.

3 - From vapor4life I can either purchase blank cartridge (buying the e-liquid is required) or pre-filled cartridge (I don't have to buy the e-liquid) How long does the pre-filled cartridge last for a 5 to 10 cigarettes smoker?

4 - There is something I'm not sure about. I'm not really looking for the carbone monoxide Big Bang Buzz. But no matter what I've tried with the Green Smoke, I don't feel the nicotine effect. After 2 days on Green Smoke I'm definitively more irritable. My temper doesn't flare that much, but I can feel I'm not in a good mood.

As soon as I take a real cigarette, I feel better. Again, I'm not talking about the BANG. It's all about nicotine.

5 - I was smoking between 5 to 10 (usually 8) regular cigarettes a day. I'd like to keep it that way. Besides, I want to use the ecig as I use the cigarette. Basically, I inhale about 8 to 12 times to get the nicotine. What would you suggest? 12mg? 18mg? 24mg? 36mg??

Thanks you very much again for all your advices. V4L has a lot to choose from. I'm sure I'll find the flavor and strenght that will hopefully fill my need.

well for me...

#1 I got an eGo kit ( like $40 )
#2 I got a LR Cylinder atomizer and type B cartrages ( like $15 )
#3 I started with 24mg nicotine juice ( now at 16 and moving down to 8 )
#4 take light draws, but take very long draws, 2 or 3 times as long as you would draw on a ciggerette, only draw into your mouth, when finished drawing, then breath in, and back out.

Mine hits like a truck ( but I like that )

Greensmoke uses a kr808d2(pretty sure), and V4L uses a kr808d1. The 808d1 is cheaper, and has more vendors pushing better products. I know this can all get confusing lol. The folks that use the 808d1's are usually(always imo) the folks to look out for. They want way to much for their gear.
