Ya know, I've thought this too at times, but didn't want to start any rumors or anything. It seems my lungs cleared up faster than when I stopped smoking completely for 6 months with Chantix. Maybe it's all in my head though.

Yes, I gave up smoking for a year about 10 years ago and at that time I barely noticed any improvement at all but I really do seem to be noticing an improvement since I have taken up vaping and like you I can't be 100% sure it isn't just in my imagination.

That propylene glycol (PG) may protect users of the e-cigarette from airborne bacterial and viruses dates back to World War II. ‘Air Germicide’, a story in Time magazine Nov 16, 1942, reported the research of Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson at Chicago's BillingsHospital. He showed that half a part per million of PG in air could kill bacteria and viruses in that air within seconds. He found PG could protect mice from influenza virus, and that monkeys could well tolerate living in air containing PG. On the face of it, e-cigarette users might indeed be better off....actually confers immediate short term positive benefits, by reducing the risk of its users inhaling live viruses and bacteria from room air. This is mind-blowing enough, but could its possible benefits also protect others close by? Is the e-cigarette more than a tool for reducing harm? Is it also potentially a talisman to ward off infection?

By the way I've imagined the same thing, no health claims from me tho' :).

My lungs feel STRONG since I switched to vaping (Jul 11th) and stopped smoking tobacco after 31 yrs of smoking! I can inhale deeply and take deep breaths even while laying down, I couldn't do that before, My lungs felt heavy before, I didn't even realize this, UNTIL that feeling was gone, kinda got used to feeling bad I guess, ha,

I have an overall sense of well-being and a renewed strength/vitality that I haven't experienced for years!!! Each day, and every week that goes by, there is more & more healing. It's AWESOME!!!

I've only been vaping for less than a month. During that time I smoked analogs for one day. They were AWFUL! This after 41 years, a pack and a half a day. My lungs crackled when I laid down in bed at night. Yesterday I saw a doctor. He proclaimed that my lungs sounded completely clear! To me, that's a flippin' miracle. :D
