Newbie here, just been recommended a read through this place before I take the plunge and order an e-cig of some description!

Not sure if it's going to be a help or not - I had settled on a Gamucci after reading some other literature, a few minutes on this site and I now haven't got a clue what to buy.

Looking to keep it simple to start with - no flavourings or anything, just want a reliable e-cig that I can easily get carts and spares for!

Going to be a bit odd for me, I smoke very thin rollies, even a "normal" cig feels like I'm stuffing something the size of a tampon in my mouth so about the only thing I'm certain on is the smaller the better. I think.

Puresmoker.com has great products at a reasonable price. For occasional use a mini e-cig is OK but if you want to use an e-cig for your primary smoke I recommend a pen style. The battery life is much longer.

Thanks

Hi Delinquent and welcome! For starters, "the smaller the better" is definitely not the case for e-cigs. While they may be more satisfying for you physically, they do not work nearly as well. The cartridges are much smaller so don't last as long and the smaller batteries don't work as well. Gamucci doesn't get good reviews around here. Many have tried them and don't seem to care for them.

The most popular device around is the dse-901. I would definitely suggest this for a first time user. Have a look around the forums and read up on what people like. This thread may help Device Preferences. As for a seller for you. I'm not sure where you're located but I am assuming from your use of the word "rollies" (makes me giggle...hehe) that you are in the UK. The list of suppliers will give you some good idea of where to buy from and from what I've read, UK users seem to get good service from e-cigs and Totally Wicked. Good luck and welcome to the world of e-cigs!

Hand rolled, as far as i know.
Nicowolf is right, havent heard a real name for them.

First welcome.

The DSE-901 and the DSE-801 the Mini and the Pen are still King and Queen of the E-cig universe. Those are your best bets.
The Pen has a Pipe like tip for your mouth, but it is larger. The size give you longer useage time.
The 901 is smaller but with a round end like a smoke.
The whole E-cig "Hobby"? is a learning experince. Everyone seems to have their own way of doing things.
Hit the Suppliers Link above and look at some of the ones from the UK. The people and suppliers are all helpfull here.
