How Does The Friends Thing Work?

Hello everybody,
How does the friends thing work? I've looked on my profile and I don't see anything that says how you can ask to be someone's friend and how that works. I've only been learning about computers and surfing the Net for 2 years. I imagine that there are 12 year olds that have more Internet experience than I have. Thanks.

Welcome to heck. You done messed around with computickers, and now it's makin' yer head spin.
It's OK, we were all there once. The friend thing ain't like facebook. No, I don't know how to work FB.
What I do know is you work it from the profile pages. You just click on the avatar picture of your intended victim and poke around till you see "friend request".

Thanks for the reply. I don't know anything about FB & never go to it. There are 2 guys that asked to be my friend, but I don't see anyway on my profile to allow me to do that. So I was wondering how they did it.
