How does the T3 compare to the EVOD?

So tomorrow will be day 7 of vaping for me, and I've already gotten 2 orders of goodies.

Started with a stardust and an EVOD.

Wow, was it an easy decision to get 2 more EVODs! Just so much less nonsense.

Anyways, these things work so well, my only gripe is that it's not always easy to see how much juice is in there when the juice is real clear and the lighting is... I don't know, sometimes I just have to look in there for a few seconds.

The T3 looks like a similar setup, just with more capacity, clearness, and a better grip for refilling/rebuilding.

And a few cents cheaper.

I can't help but feel like there's something I'm missing.

I personally have not had a good experience with the EVOD. At one point one of the seals came slightly out of place so I could not screw it down all the way. Now that I got the seal back in place I have little airflow and almost no vaper production. When the EVOD did work it was good flavor but not a lot of vapor. The T3 is the older version before the EVOD and it holds 3 ml as well. My current T3 I have had the same head on it through 4 months of intermittent use and it is just now starting to act like I should replace it.

I have read that if you want to try any juice, especially the cinnamon and citrus types the ProTank is the way to go. It is more expensive but it is glass so you don't have to worry about your juices cracking the tank. And the Evod replacement heads will work with the ProTank.

Congrats on your success.

I actually have another thread going about the protank LOL!

I'm thinking I'll probably get 2 of them for the harsher flavors, but I'm trying to keep in mind that saving a few bucks was at least a partial motivator, and the T3 looks like it could be a nice cheap-o to have a couple of.

Awesome tip about the evod heads, that will come in handy!

I've been side-by-side running T3-Minis, EVODs, and MiniViviNovas (I like the smaller ones:2cool:).
I think I'm going to drop the MiniViviNovas.
I think I'm going to mostly use EVODs.
I get a LITTLE more gurgling trouble with the T3, plus it's a MUCH more "airy" draw - I find myself working a finger over an airhole sort of like a carburator.

Finally - not my primary concern, but with an EVOD, you can just keep replacing the HEAD for like $1, rather than replacing the whole base - that's if you're not rebuilding or rewicking, etc...

I should probably patent the "Clearo-Carburator" huh?

I've been vaping T3's since they came out. I should say the Tabac BCC's which are supposed to be the same as the T3 but with some of the reports people have been posting on some T3's, the Tabac BCC may be a different quality since I've had none of the problems that others have reported. No leaks, out of the dozens, between DW and I, only a few 'gurgling' problems otherwise none.

I had one early one crack from mentholyptus but it took a while and have been vaping the same ejuice in the later ones without a problem. And before the T3 I was using T2's and had a few more cracks on those tanks. I know that the first T3's used T2 tanks and while I don't know for sure, I think they changed plastics once they used up the older T2 tanks (although they're still making the T2's, maybe with newer plastic). I'm guessing the one T3 that cracked was an older T2 tank.

I get mine from heaven gifts and good prophets - they have the 'oem' 1.8ohm coil with the unit - most other vendors of the 'T3' have the 2.4-2.6 ohm coil in them - of course you can always buy the replacements but I have found the higher resistance 2.4-2.6 (which meters at 2.8+ ohms) is no good, not enough heat, for even my lightest flavors - for those the 2.2 ohm coil works well.

I don't like the cosmetic metal skin on the evods or the MT3's - it, like you say, obscures the view of the ejuice level and adds weight. The T3/Tabac BCC will hold 3ml of ejuice without having the top heavy look of the protank or the vivi nova. The protank holds 2.5ml.

I've yet to get a T3s but I plan on it but I'm also waiting on the mini protank - it won't hold as much as the regular protank but it is eGo sized and the glass is good on taste on some flavors. If you want a 'smaller footprint' the Baby T3's from sun vapers works really well - just not the capacity of the T3/Tabac BCC.

T3's are great as just that. Mine has been the backup that has always been there in a pinch. They are pretty cheap. I had to go through about 3 of em before I got the right one but in looking back I could have bought 3 heads instead of 3 T3's. The one I'm on right now has lasted for ever.

Thank you all for your input.

I'm getting the idea that the evod might be quite a bit better.

A cool thing that happened is I was just chatting with a friend who has been vaping I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I know it's shaped and sized very much like a cigarette and he's been dicking around with it for well over a year and hasn't smoked an analog.

I think what I'm gonna do is get a couple pro tanks and a couple T3s and after a couple days I should be able to donate my friend a clearo or 2 (i will be sharing 8 clearos with my woman at this point) and he and his girl can start upgrading and I can give him one or 2 pieces of whatever I think is decent starter hardware and juice and get him into the club for just the price of a spinner.

I've had good luck with Tabac BCC's and Vapeonly BCC mini's.
As for the difference between an evod and the T3 both gave me leaking & flooding problems that I haven't had from the Tabac BCC's.
IMO the vapeonly mini's have the fullest taste and warmest vape Ive had from any BCC.

If you want something to try different flavors with get a drip atomizer.

I've used both the T3 and the eVod... the T3 now has a permanent home in the bottom of my gear bag. The T3 leaked like crazy when it started to get low... the eVod doesn't.

The new T3s heads may have solved the leaking issues... if so, I might give them a shot again... but otherwise, it's eVod all the way.

It falls short quite honestly...I have both and only use my EVODs.

Me too! I have the vivi nova, vision stardust, evod, and t3. I use my evod bcc about 90% of the time. No leaks, gurgling, etc. So far so good!:vapor: I also run 20PG 80VG in it with no problems. Very easy to re-coil & wick! Tutorial vid on youtube.

I bought 10 MT3's.. same thing with a metal covering. Best advice I can give, buy the new bases and replaceable cores to make them T3S's. I'm still trying to verify if the evod cores work with the T3S base, but they seem to be the same.

The T3S core will fit in an EVOD, and because the "stem" is longer, I think it prevents leaking better. My EVOD started getting juice in the pipe and it was gurgling, even after I cleaned out the pipe and the stem and re-connected them. Replacing the coil with a T3S model seems to have fixed it (although I only did the swap a couple hours ago).

As far as taste and vapor, I haven't noticed any difference between EVOD, T3S and MT3S, but I like the EVOD because it's the same diameter as the battery. With a short 350maH battery on the MT3S, it looks a little weird and it's top-heavy so I can't stand it upright very well. The EVOD is better for that, but of course it holds a lot less juice.

I've got both, imo they preform the same, the T3 may be a slightly lighter hit, probably due to being larger and further from the tip to the coil but they're close. They both can and probably will need to be tweaked to find that fine line between wicking well and flooding as most bottom coils will but after a few rebuilds down I've found it and they both work perfectly.

Unlike most I can't stand the Protank, it's in my backup box box along with the version one ViVi and I hope I never have to see either of them again.

I have a few of each and use both. One of the T3's had a coil/head that was a chronic leaker. I solved the problem by pulling the stem from the atomizer and adding a cheesecloth wick across the top of the existing wick. The draw improved and no more gurgling.

I've never had a problem with any of my EVOD's. They vape well and look good doing it. My only complaint about them is the small capacity.
