I am trying to get my stepdad to quit smoking and get into vaping. I have talked with him and he is considering it. I was looking on the website of a vape shop in Indianapolis. He has said if he gets one he wants one kinda like mine. He hasn't tried mine yet. I think it is cause he has never cared much for menthol or peppermint. Now I have an Itaste vv with a kanger aerotank mini. I use 2 ohm kanger duel coils. I know he wants to try to keep it on the cheap side. I was looking around and found this.

Itaste CLK Starter Kit - Pure Vape Indy

This shop has a b&m location. They just also happen to run an online store as well. I was wondering what everyone here thought about this. If someone has it and can tell me anything about it I would appreciate it. To me it looks decent. Though if it was mine I'd want a kanger aerotank. I love mine. lol.

I know it does. I just got off cigs myself. I haven't smoked in a week. I smoked for 14 years. I made the mistake of cigalikes. I found one that was alright but the rest sucked. Just when I was close to going back a friend I met on here sent me this one. I agree simple is good. This one here does look reasonably simple. About as simple as mine anyways. The most complicated thing is putting it together the first time which I can help him do. Also I will need to show him how to clean it but those are basic I think you run into with all vaporizers. I am pretty sure he could do well with one like mine. I am just unsure of how this particular one is. For one thing I can't tell if it has airflow adjustment for it's tank or not. That is one of the things I love about mine. ego twist is a possibility. But I know him. He isn't going to want to get one thing, then have to go out later on and get a new one because the one he has isn't good enough.

I am looking into quite a few options. I am looking at this particular store because they have an actual location and this way I can get an idea of what they got. They have good prices so I am not worried about getting ripped off. They also have a vape bar for you to try different flavors. I plan on letting him look around and pretty much get what he wants. But I am looking at stuff i could honestly tell him might actually be good. I remember how clueless I was in the beginning and still am a bit. I tried to look around in a small vape shop I heard about in town. It is actually just a very small gas station that just started to sell vape stuff. What little they had was mostly crap. Me and him walked right out of it. lol. The only thing in there that actually was good was some kanger protanks he had. BTW the guy himself was opening a pack of regular cigs to smoke. So the guy isn't even a vapor and when he was talking about it, he didn't sound like he knew much more then I did. Not the kind of person who should be selling vape supplies. The person selling needs to know what their selling.

We Brought The Vaping Revolution To Indiana. Indy's Original and Premier Vape Shop.

I don't have a clue how close these people are to you, but I've purchased a few things from them and I live in Texas. I've been very happy with the service I've received from them. Good luck on getting your Dad off them and I hope you continue to have success yourself. I've been off cigs for 18 months now and I smoked for over 30 years before i quit. Reliable gear plays a big part in that. I have nothing but good things to say about an Ego Twist. Vaping is a hobby for me now. All my gear is reliable. My Twists included that I don't use anymore.

That is another place I am looking into. The other place is in Indianapolis as well. Just a different part. But prob almost the same distance from Lebanon, IN lol. For his first one I think it is important he go into one himself though and decide. Me I am ok with stuff online. Him I think he would feel better actually going in.

Is he a heavy smoker? If so I would go with a two battery kit. When he is first getting into this he probably will want/need two batteries to keep going when one is dead.

I started on the kanger evod kits came with two batteries and two tanks. Knowing what I know now... the two batteries at 650mAh were a bit weak I always had a battery charging. I would of been better off with two 900-1600 mAh batteries. Makes it easier to upgrade later to say Aero tanks or say a Nautilus mini.

Do you have a backup setup? If so take him to the store and let him select his own flavor with strong enough nic to replace the cravings, buy him a bottle and purchase a cheap tank for a few bucks if you do not have an extra. Load it and let him use a battery. Then you guys can vape together at the pad and see if another trip to the store is needed for his own setup. You could do all this in the store but he might feel more comfortable checking it out at the pad and may want some time to check it out.

Unfortunately I do not have a backup right now. I am actually out of work right now so money is tight for me. I wouldn't have this one if it hadn't been for a friend of mine sending it to me. I don't even have a backup battery just yet. Though I have been able to make do with just one. This is with going through about a tank a day. Still for him an extra battery may be needed. Though I do find the battery in the Itaste vv does seem to last a good amount of time. I usually only need to charge it once a day. Actually I could probably wait until the light gets to red but I prefer to do it at yellow. Today I have had to put it on the charger an extra time. I think cause I cleaned out my vape today and dry burned the duel coil I got in it about the best I could.

I had enough of tobacco juices when I tried cigalikes. lol. I still enjoy a good menthol though. Funny since I wasn't a big fan of menthol analogs. lol. Yeah your right though he may want that. That is why I want to take him to this one where he can try out the juices before he decides. I also know at some point he is going to ask me what I think he should get. That is why I am looking as some options for him. I am glad to say at least this shop doesn't seem to be price gouging.

I understand. Well for around 40 bucks in a store he could start like I did with these Kanger Evod Starter Kit - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes. These are plastic tanks and certain juice will crack them so you might want to be aware of that if he went that route. Was never a problem for myself, but the wife cracked both of hers with cinnamon flavored juice. If money for him is not an issue he could mix and match two higher batteries say two ego-t 1300mAh batteries and a couple 5-30dollar tanks to go with them and a charger. The kits may be best because they take the decisions out making the purchase simpler. This kit VaporSalon. Dual E-VOD 900 Zipper Set would be better imo but he would have to purchase some extra atomizers since it does not show them listed.

The links are just examples.

He will definitely need 2 batteries at first. I had a twist and a regular non vv evod when I started and was vapeing 24mg liquid. I have moved down to 12 since I moved up to better batteries. I also found that not using tobacco flavors helped me not to want to smoke analog cigs.
Yep I did the same I tried to emulate the menthols I was smoking. Now I rarely hit any menthol flavor.

Yes look around online at what you think will work for him, narrow it down, go in prepared with an idea of what is best, go to the store let him select his flavor, and then see if they have anything comparable to what you liked online. If not you can always buy the juice and order the kit or whatever online. You know you pay more at the b&m but that is convenience and convenience costs a little. Just so long as it is not a ridiculous markup.
Hopefully the store is a good one and is not trying to up sell you guys into spending a lot of money on something that may or not take, k.i.s.s If he wants to quit then he has a very good shot at switching his nicotine delivery method and will feel and smell a lot better pretty quickly. I hope it works out for him. :)

The shop does seem really good. Only thing they jack up a little inside is their juices. Hardware is the same as listed on their site. Juices seem to go up a few bucks but on tuesdays and thursdays they give good deals. 10ml juice for 3.99. So it is safe to say when we go it will be on a tuesday or a thursday. They have a vape bar so we can try out the flavors. They have over 350 flavors to try actually. lol

I am currently looking at this one to recommend to him though.

That is the type I started on and they are easy to transition into from cigs. If someone can instantly get used to a box there is more bang for the buck in a mvp 2.0, but I know that can seem like an awkward fit to some when switching from a cig, I am not sure how I would of felt about one at that time.

It is that mentality many of us have when we are smokers. That is why I didn't want one of those to begin with. I wanted something more like a cig. My itaste vv with the kanger aerotank was perfect for me because of it. It is bigger then a cig, but the shape is close enough that it could help me with that. He has been smoking a lot longer then I have. So while I can draw on my experience, I also have to try to think like him with this too. I think he can do it though. He is seeing how it is helping me. He has tried everything in the past to help him and nothing would work. I actually refused to try that other stuff cause I knew how useless it was. Also he has to want to do it. He has expressed interest in switching to them. But at the same time he likes his cigs. So it could be slow going but even if I can help him to cut down on the cigs it will be a really good thing. Hopefully he can get off the analogs completely.
