I have heard the thing about the cats and vaping, how vapor is not good for cats.

How does vaping effect dogs?

I vape alot around my dog, as it always lays in the room with me all the time while I vape. Never tends to bother my dog. My dog tends to sniff the vape smell sometimes (obviously probably because of the flavor smell of whatever I am vaping).

I have not heard anything about vaping and it bothering dogs...but has anyone else? Are they any studies on this?

Cats are known for having PG allergies

I don't think so, or my vet is a total quack. She has a largeish PG vaporizer in her operating theater (she's in a steam-heated building with radiators, so using micropore filters is cost-prohibitive, even if she wanted to install them). She also has another one in her boarding room. Her practice is about 60% cats. In over 30 years, she's never had a cat that was sensitive to PG, and she has dealt with a lot of cats with respiratory problems. She swears by aerosolized PG, and she's a superb vet.

The problem comes with heavy additions of PG to canned cat food. Kitty would slurp up a few grams of PG from a can, then get sick.

Dogs have a great nose, so if your dog slinks away from you vape then change your vape!

What have you heard about vaping and cats? I looked it up and couldn't find anything.

I don't know much about this situation. The only thing I know is that I have seen a few threads "discussing" cats having PG allergies. Now "I guess" (Like someone had said in a previous post) this may vary) maybe it depends on how the PG is ingested..like for example; orally it might bother a cat, but vapored pg may not???... this is something I don't know much about. Like I said, this is something I am very very new of and don't know basically anything about it, so don't take my word for it. You might just want to do some research, I am definitely not a veterinarian. I am not saying you are in danger if you have cats, all I am discussing are "threads in this forum" that have been brought up, about PG allergies to cats.

Some cats, it might not bother them...while other cats might not be able to handle it? Again, these are just me thinking of different things, but all my information are just opinions.

Hope that helps some of the questions you might have had. :D

If you are really concerned about this situation, I would contact a veterinarian and see what they have to say about you vaping. I am sure there is some veteranarien out there that would be able to give you a good answer on the questions you have about vaping and the PG.

Another thing you could do to even make you feel better, is switch to an all VG based liquid. They are supposeably not suppose to have PG in them at all... so that would definately cure the PG worries you might be having...

As far as vapor in "general" I don't know if cats do well with vapor or not, I don't not have cats..

Have a good one!

Apparently you didn't read that OP's retraction of the wildly speculative statements made.

Can you please fill me in on what you are pointing too.I like to learn all that I can. All I know is that I have heard about the PG allergies "conversation" that has been flowing around lately. But I am no scientist by any means. :)

Cheers. :)
