How empty do you let your tank get?

When a tank is due for a cleaning if I really like the juice I'll vape it down to where there is just juice on the wicks. Otherwise if I'm going to be refilling, I'll top it off before heading out and about.

The flip and twirl is where you get the tip below horizontal and twirl the tank to keep juice coated on the top part of the wicks. It becomes second nature after a while. Mentally to me it kinda replaces flicking an ash off of an analog...

BTW you are now a Halon (wheezal, 2013)! Welcome to our little place of sanity/insanity on ECF! Feel free to join us on the chat thread! Things can get a little crazy over there, but it is all in good fun!

I don't know if its just my taste buds still coming back from all those years of smoking or if its just in my head. Once my tank gets below 1.6 I seem to loose flavor. I do give the tank a swirl before hitting it. So how low do you go?

Hi, Droopy. It's probably both your taste buds and your head. Your buds will morph and change several times in the first 3 months or so!

It could be a time of day thing. If you fill them in the morning, then by afternoon, your taste is "used" to it. If I only hit one flavor all day, it gets bland to me. So I switch between 3 flavors; it keeps it fresh!

Flavor definitely diminishes through the latter part of the battery's discharge, when the voltage has dropped. (Usually 4.2 fresh off the charger and starts blinking "charge me, charge me" at 3.7 or so.

I have also vaped tanks almost dry as well.

And welcome.

I swirl the tank and vape down to the last drop if I'm going to clean it out. Otherwise I usually fill it at around half so I don't find myself out and about with no juice LOL

Vapors tongue will take the flavor away - or make it metallic/sour.

Ditto! Enjoy the day!:2cool:

All four of my triton tanks are dedicated to a particular liquid right now (Tribeca, Kringle's, Prime15, and HX3). When they are due for a cleaning, I vape almost all of the liquid out (I'd rather waste a tiny bit of liquid than risk burning my wick). If I'm just refilling, I top my tanks off before heading out for the day.

I basically just keep refilling my minitanks and only clean when I'm changing flavors, but I only use the minitanks for trying samplers. Don't foresee buying any more minitanks (I have 4)

Welcome to the Halo forums!

Are you still a halon if you defect and order some other juices? Still accumulating points though :vapor:

I hope so! I get my juice somewhere else, but I will only use Halo hardware. I have had to junk or return any hardware I bought anywhere else. I do use Halo juice when I get enough points to redeem, its not that I don't like it, I just have a preference of a certain kind that happens to be somewhere else.

It is simple to vape all the juice out of a Triton. I do this almost every time before I refill. -Once the Triton is below 3/4 full, hold it sideways and tap all the wicks down to one side. After this, sit the Triton wicks side DOWN when not using. No swirling needed to avoid dry or burnt hits this way. It will wick down to empty, every time. Works for me, anyways. ;)
