well.... I've been lurking for some time... finally decided to post.

I started my journey about three months ago. Started with an Ego kit...not bad. After that I bought a couple of the small iTaste vv batteries.

Next came a Vamo with a dual coil tank.....what a nice difference

Next my local shop started carrying the zmax telescopic...so I had to buy that.

Along the way I have picked up a couple vivi novas, kanger protanks, iClear 30...

Now I am looking at rba's and hybrids....when does it end????

I really like vaping, but i haven't been able to get off of cigarettes yet.....its just hard to give them up..... and man have I been spending too much money on vaping supplies...lol

Anyway.... good to be here.... all the info is very helpful.

Welcome to ECF , and if your devices , are still not satisfying you , you may need to up the nic. level , so you get more out of your vaping experience , and finally let go of the analogs . But , don't stress about it either . It will happen , when it happens . Took me nearly three months , to stop craving the ciggies . Sounds like you have plenty of devices , to get you there . Just need to get a stronger juice , for when those cravings hit . Good Luck

Welcome to the forum (although I really don't know if I should talk to you since I'm a Longhorns fan :D)

I've been vaping for a couple of months and still smoke a couple of analogs a day (from about a pack or so a day), so I know how hard it is to give them up entirely. It's been a marathon, not a sprint, for me, so with all your cool toys I'm sure you'll get there in your own time :) Don't hesitate to ask for help here . . . so many awesome folks willing to help!

Cheers, and best of luck to you! :toast:

I quit stinkies the day I got my Ego kit. I have not smoked for two months now and I can tell you that I don't miss smoking at all. I have friends that can't seem to give up smoking. My advice to you is "have some will power and just do it". You will find yourself felling so much better. I have all the same types of gear you have listed above and I still use my Ego 650 mAh battery with a Iclear 16 for my day setup. I found that if you still find some times when you want a smoke you may need to up the nic level of your juice to curb your pangs. I normaly vape 12mg but I keep some 18 and 24mg around for the times I need the extra kick. It always stops the urge to smoke.

Hi and welcome to ECF. I began at 36 mg X 50-60 ml per week. Now down to 2 mg X 15- 20 ml per week. If 36 is too much you could always mix equal quantities of same flavor 24 and 36 to get 30 mg. As for quitting analogs completely you'll get there one day. At times when it's your habit to smoke an analog you could vape a higher mg. Although I generally vape 2 mg I have no problem occasionally going to 8 mg.
Best of Luck.

As far as $$ spent I have some converts that have spent 2-3K in the last year + while others have spent maybe $500 or less. I'm in at $700.00 but have enuff stuff to last me for the next 1 1/2 yrs.
I only suggest this as a last resort but you could consider Whole Tobacco Alkaloid Eliquid WTA Aroma Ejuice I have a few converts that occasionally use WTA juice and it was "their" last piece of the puzzle that finally got them to completely quit analogs.

Yeah, what he said, except I don't keep 24 around, just 18.

keep it up! i been of the analog tabacco for about a week and a half
when i got my vapegear up par i noticed the analogues are getting overrated for me..
the urge was there to smoke, but most of time it wasn't what i expected after i smoked one.
what helped was just trying just one day without. and see how the analogs really taste after that.
also take a little notebook and write down how you experience the sigaret
how does it taste, was it what you expected before you lit it up ? helped for me.

I disagree with this! that willpower thing is over-rated! my opinion is take your time, don't get discouraged if that willpower thing doesn't work, count the ones you DON'T smoke, not the ones you do!
you might find this thread helpful/encouraging, or something

Absolutely this. First let me say I grew up with a mother who smoked cigs and my dad smoked cheep cigars for many years. I smoked for nearly 30 myself. After I had been vaping exclusively for maybe 3 days my son lit a smoke up in the car and I swear I thought we had hit a skunk for a second and then I thought he had lit the cheapest cigar on earth. But no it was a Marlboro light. I was stunned when I realized it was his cigarette. I mean really stunned. I've been smelling cigarettes my whole life and they never smelled like that even when I was a kid. I took a drag and it was vile. I have a really hard time understanding how I got hooked on something that tastes so foul. I could try and convince myself they were different all those years ago but I know that my son and his friends started smoking in the last 5 years and they can't have changed that much since then. Heck, I even bought a pack last week when my mom went into the emergency room and they tasted bad first to last. I can't imagine dealing with that taste again but the reality is I still want a smoke sometimes. I don't because well.. yeck. But it does not mean I don't see them on tv and think fond if not realistic thoughts. So I do think a day or two of resisting smokes would help dramatically with resisting them after that.

As far as how deep the rabbit hole is.. Well I've spent way more than I had expected to a month in. On the other hand I'm not buying just for me but also for my son and on occasion his best friend. I'll be trying some DIY as much in self defense as any other reason. That and I need to sort out the best pv/vg balance since I think I have a mild pv sensitivity. I think that it is always deeper than it looked when we first peered into it but that eventually we end up in wonderland and it sort of evens out.
