Because I just joined this forum I couldn't post on the thread on giving up tobacco... so I'm just going to post here. I quit smoking four days after getting my first e-cig!!! I've smoked non-stop for the past 27 years -- I never developed health problems that would have encouraged me to quit (I'm young looking for my age, have low blood pressure, strong heart, strong lungs, etc.); however, finally developed a polyp on my vocal cord that I have to have surgically removed. I had to stop smoking tobacco two weeks before surgery to make sure it healed properly . I was desperate because I did NOT want to stop smoking. E-cigs are an absolute miracle. Absolutely. The first two days I smoked 8 or 9 organic smokes and "vaped" the rest of the time, the third day I had one cigarette, the fourth... NONE and it's been that way ever since. On that fourth day I took one puff of my American Spirit and it tasted like metal and I immediately put it out. That is amazing after such a short time. I know this must be boring to people who are electronic cigarette aficionados, but I have to tell someone!! I am so excited and so happy... I still get to puff away, but not rip up my vocal cords with burning plant material! E-cigs are the best smoking cessation tool ever.

I bought my e-cig on vacation, and waited until I finished the carton of cheap US smokes I'd brought home. Once those were done, though, I woke up one morning and started vaping. Haven't looked back. In fact, I just ordered an Echo tonight, so I can stop rotating batteries all day...

Anyone want this 3 week old pack of Canadian Classic I've got sitting here? :p

I had my last analog just before the postman dropped of my eGo Mega kit and some juice. That's after 45 years of 1.5/2 PaD...

About a week for me, first day of vaping had a few analogs, then down to one in the morning and one in the evening, then done! March 17th was the last one I had, honestly have not really considered having one since, once maybe after a lot of drinks, kinda curious to see how it tastes now.... In the back of my mind I worry that if I try it again it might be awesome, I know its contrary to what everyone else says, so I've decided I just won't do it :)

Now lowering my Nic, have some 6mg and even some 0mg I can get by on.... occasionally forget to vape now too, amazing after 20 years of smoking!

Glad you are having similar success, good luck.

i quit the smokes altogether....waited till i was having a nic heart attack and satisfied the craving by vaping as long as I wanted. When it subsided. I trusted it would work. A couple times after work and got home I wanted one because of my habit of going outside and chilling but i made myself use it. again it worked. it helps that i too loved vaping when i tried it lol

Where I usually am
' bjo 'I myself had smoked for 27yrs. I quite cause most of the family / parents, aunts, uncles were dropping like flies. My brother introduced the Vapor King e-cig to me and I tried it and thought,...this just might be it! About a month later my wife and I both ordered up our own kits and the day they showed up in the mail was the day we left the analogs for good.
We both have been analog free for about a year now.... can't stand the smell of light up cigarets now nor could I imagine going back. congrats to everyone!!!!! :)

Just started on the Smoketip a few days ago. I had a pack and change when it came in (the stories are true, they ship FAST) I still have a pack left, think I'll give that pack to a friend, I don't want them any more. The vaping tastes better, hits harder, and you don't even have to try to light the b-tard in the wind. I love it.

Oh I'm singing the praises of this thing all over the shop, and he and a couple others seems interested. Still, waste is waste, and addiction is addiction..
I remember when I was younger my dad sent me to one of those Hypnotist Quit Shows at the local hotel, and needless to say it didn't work. I made his money back though by going in after the next weeks shows and taking alla the tossed packs of smokes outta the bins, it got me by when I was first out on my own. So now that I I'm changing my addiction a bit...tossing them where some poor ....... wont get them just seems wrong. ;3
