I quit the day I got my eGo in the mail. :2cool:

I had one cig on the way to work that day because I wasn't sure if vaping alone would hold me over for 5 hours of waiting tables and dealing with customers. I couldn't of been more wrong.

In fact I still have that pack with 5 cigs left in it from that day. I keep it next to the box where I store my juice and gear just as a constant reminder to myself of how far I've come. It's an awesome feeling now that I'm quickly approaching 2 months off cigs.

My last cig was smoked while walking to the mailbox to get my e-cig.

I still had a 1/2 pack of smokes in my jacket and that week I did reach for them a few times forgetting about the e-cig but never lit one up.

With the wonderful flavors we can choose from I have no reason to ever go back.

Congrats on everyone for quitting the cancer sticks:toast:

I accidentally quit the day I got my Riva kit. I wasn't planning on quitting, but I just liked vaping so much that I didn't think about smoking.

Same thing happened to me - I quit the day I got my kit. I had a relapse when my charger went south, but as soon as I got the replacement I was back on track. It taught me that first and most critical lesson of the vape world: Backups Backups Backups!

Good point, I was gonna get me a 380MaH battery, and try some juice once my check clears, I should add a spare charger to that list.

I learned that the hard way . I had a fresh ego mega battery and another one in my ecig case . Well I vaped so much after leaving the house I needed the second battery . Needless to say that other battery wasn't charged like I though it was . Good thing I got home a little over an hour later . Now I carry one of my original 650mah with me as well as my two mega batteries .

I'd say it took me about 10 months of switching back and forth between vaping full time and smoking full time before I switched over. Really though, that's because I did the whole "I want something that looks like a cigarette" thing that so many new vapers do. Those things just do not work for chain smokers. I'd run out of charge while I was out and then I'd buy cigarettes. Since stepping up to the Go Go I haven't run out of charge. So I haven't bought any cigarettes. So if anybody gets their first PV and finds that they don't just magically stop smoking, don't give up, you might just have the wrong PV for you.

I started vaping about three months ago. It immediately allowed me to cut my cigarette usage in half.
Reading this message string really has me thinking that I have now fallen into a new pattern of when to vape and when to smoke that I need to break away from it to progress forward. I'm going to try much harder today!

Hey, still cutting your smoking in half is a good thing, and best of luck going forward.
Maybe you should order some more potent carts/juice? My old cigs seem weak to me, so when I've tried smoking them again they are just kinda foul, and not strong enough, and I put it out and I reach for my vape.

I quit after about a week of vaping the first time. then because of a death in the family i went back to the analogs it seemed to be too much of a hassle. But now that i have an EGO with a longer battery than i ever could imagine in the early days, i have been able to only light up when i wake up and usually only smoke about 1/3 before i throw it out. Keep it up guys! I love this ......

I gave it my first try on a Saturday afternoon, finished my pack of Pall Malls at 8:30 Sunday morning, and haven't looked back. I started with fairly high nic - 24mg - so I could be sure to manage any cravings. I also ordered enough pre-loaded carts and juice (from China) so I wouldn't run out. It seems most people who stop smoking are at risk if they run out of juice or batteries, since you can't just go to 7-11 for more.

I wish this was available a long time ago, since switching is so easy. If it get's a little boring, start getting samples of flavors! I'm flipping between a menthol and a blend of vanilla cupcake and amaretto I like. Can't find flavor like that at any smoke shop. Congratulations!

after 30+ years on analogs..started e-cig 3 months ago but only gave up analog a month ago..i did not think i can as i am habitual smoker..but with this forum and know how i can relate to members/veterans and admins for support..now strictly on vaping, happily
i'm still in that mode myself :( i quit for 12 days on the analogs, picked one up & jumped off the wagon. i still vape and plan on trying again starting this Sat. (i figure it's better to set a date in stone..but that's just the way my mind works)

I stopped smoking for 3 days when i first got the joye 510 2 months ago. I went back after 3 days and smoke one pack a week, which is much less than before i started vaping. The last pack of cigarette lasted me 2 weeks. Still looking to quit completely. Trying very hard especially weekends. I am still in the search for the favors that I could vape all day long. I have to switch favor like every 4 or 5 puffs. I have about 6 flavor i rotate everyday. You guys are awesome that able to just quit and never go back.

it wasnt easy though, i vaped like a madman,24mg, on a small 180amh battery kit, i would vape the battery dead ,even before the one in the charger was ready, i went nuttz. got online and was able to get a more powerfull battery ecig kit ,not just one kit either, 20 kits it was, wnted to make sure i had plenty of battery back-up.i settled down after a month of using the e-cig,
I just didnt want to go back to smoking ciggys no matter what.
i'm good now.
