How fragile are your tanks?

As the title implies I have a few questions about tank qualities.
Let me start of with I don't know much about different tanks and set ups.
I mainly use kanger protank 2 because well they are inexpensive so if I break them I'm not hurt to much by it.

My main issue with this tank is they tend to break on me. Let me explain. Like many others I've been trying lots of juices to try and find my everyday vap. It seems lots of the juices out there melt, break, cloud, ect these tanks.
I know the solution would be to purchase glass tanks but I'm concerned with breaking them. I try to be gentle with my setups but keeping them in my pocket at everything gets beat up. I work in kitchens slip and falls happen and having glass shards go into me doesn't sound fun.
Are there any non glass tanks that can take a beating, and or not melt from juices?
My set up is kanger 650 with protanks if that is any help.

You could try a Nautilus with the optional stainless steel tank accessory.. The stock nautilus tank comes with a thick pyrex glass tank that has survived being dropped many times getting in or out of my truck..lol
No matter what juice you use these tanks won't melt either..hope this helps some..good luck!

Hmmm. I avoid polycarbonate tanks. I just don't want the worry. When I was using Protanks, I broke two, not in actually using them, but in cleaning them in the kitchen sink. I went to Fastech and got more rather cheaply. While on Fastech, I noticed bold colored tanks for the Nautilus at a dollar each, I have some of those now. For my RTAs, I use Spectrumtanks, they are about the same as the Nautilus ones except they are a touch thicker.

Anyway, Fastech has a lot of after-market stuff. And Spectrumtanks makes really goods ones for a lot of RTAs.

Good luck

The Kanger Protank 2 is a Pyrex (glass) tank. We have Protank 2 Minis, also Pyrex, and have had no problems with melting or clouding of these tanks from different eliquids, even those listed as tank crackers. It is the plastic tanks that you have to be careful with around eliquids listed as tank crackers. My daughter found that out the hard way when she put some Wild Cherry in a week old original Evod (plastic). She loaded the tank before she left work, and the tank was toast, Wild Cherry eliquid all over the place, by the time she got home.

Kanger does also have the Evod Glass, which has a metal jacket with 2 windows so you can see the eliquid. These, however, are dual coil tanks. We use ours on Protank 2 Mini bases with the Kanger single coils, and are very pleased with them. However, others have posted here on ECF that they tried our "fix", and had nothing but problems. I don't know what we are doing different, but it works for us. We have found these tanks to be pretty sturdy in normal use around the house - I know I have dropped mine on the hard floor a few times with no adverse effects. The only one that broke on us is one of my daughter's - she dropped her PV on the concrete driveway, and the tank was toast.

When I was using the glass ProTanks I did break two. One dropped on the concrete and I hit one on a door facing just the right way and it busted. I am pretty rough on my equipment but I was very pleased with the glass ones at Fasttech. Super easy to rebuild yourself also if you are interested in saving a lot of money. Good luck to you and happy vaping.

Tatroe used to make a solid stainless tank for the PT heads. Not finding it anymore.

For tanks don't even go near plastic. My advice is to stick with pyrex and stainless steal tanks. My preference is Pyrex but stainless steel works great too. I like Pyrex mostly so I can see how much juice I have left. I have found it to be durable. I dropped mine several times when using it and it was fine. Though i'd try not to make a habit of it. As for my Stainless Steel Tank. This is what I have been using a lot recently thanks to me losing one of my rubber o's. I've dropped my Itaste VV with Kanger Aeretank Mini so many times it isn't funny. Plenty of times on the concrete too. It is still working fine. If you tend to be a bit rougher on your gear it is better to use a stainless steel one. Also you don't really have to worry about juices damaging either one of these. Just be sure to clean out your setup regularly. I do this just to make sure my stuff stays in good shape. Usually at least twice a week. Sometimes more.

the Kanger V2's come standard with a stainless sleeve, they do work on the Protank 2
I've got 8 or so if you want a couple I'll mail 'em to you.

Ed uses 'em on his Protank2's for work (he's the only one of us that's crashed tanks work and off a motorcycle at 70mph the iStick made it, the tank not so much *lol*)

When I started in this community back in March, I was warned about plastic tanks. I was also told that I needed to be careful with the glass. So, when I ordered my Protanks (1, 2 and their minis), I bought additional tanks just in case. I bought them in April of last year, and have yet to break one. I still have tanks in their packages, unused.

Take care of your gear, and it will last you a long time. Treat it poorly and without care, you'll spend a lot of money that you really didn't need to, and that takes away from the upgrade budget.

I take a helicopter to and from work every 3 weeks or more. Oil rig workers handle loading and unloading my bags.

I have used nothing but the full stainless steel tanks on the nautilus and they are all just fine, as would expected.

My battery of choice offshore is an mvp, also a very rugged little battery.

I take a 747 to work every week, underpaid workers handle loading and unloading my bags....

Honestly I don't know if your more worried about the type of juice cracking your tank or dropping it, if it's dropping it you could try using a lanyard. The best solution considering your constantly changing flavors would be to get into an RDA.......

I work outside everyday and I am very harsh on my equipment. My full size nautilus has a nice chip in the glass from hitting the concrete. That was 3 months ago and it's still going strong.

I used to use my mini protank 3 all day at work and that Also took a beating and kept ticking.

Lanyard worked nice for my itaste vv but since I moved onto box mods that don't work no more.
