The Blu is certainly NOT a favorite around here. I would suggest getting a 510 MANUAL kit from cignot.

I'm a bit confused to your 'manuals' reference though..are you referring to traditional cigarettes or manual batteries for ecigs? If you're referring to regular cigarettes, most people on here refer to them as ANALOGS. Manual's are a type of ecig where you press a button on the body.

Good luck and welcome to ECF!! :)

Can't say as I see a lot of use for 401's though..

Have you TRIED anything other than that one? (Not being a snot, just asking!) :)

The 510 is pretty much the favorite recommendation for people just starting out. While the 410's have their place, it's a pretty tiny square. For example, if you find out you DO like vaping, you can always go UP and buy something like the Ego or the Precise. And, when you DO, you can still use parts of your existing set up on THOSE.

Blu Electronic Cigarettes - E-Cigarette Forum

If the blu suits your needs, ie: size, similarity to a regular cigarette, etc, then use it. There is a lot of blu bashing on this forum, but many people find that it suits their needs. ANY PV is the best one if it works for YOU.

And before anyone blasts me about what I've tried, I have: 801 manuals/autos, and an 801 PT, A sparkplug in 801 and 808 cartomizer, a copper pipe mod, a nicobox, a blu, and a volcano kit, and PT for the Volcano.

They all serve their purpose at different times, and each one has their positives and drawbacks. Use what works for YOU, not what someone else tells you you should usse.

Very well put. I personally enjoy my little Blu from time to time. Different strokes for different folks.

Exactly, SuZamme. If the same thing worked for everyone, we all would have quit using the gum, patches, or pills. Each person needs something different, and it's not a one size fits all proposition.

Absolutely. I love my Stick for sitting at home vaping, but my Volcanos/Sideshos (same as Blu) are what I carry around - driving, on a job site, stalking the postal prey (er, I mean walking to the mailbox), jogging (that's a new one!)... all situations in which I'm still used to having a cigarette, and the Blu-type substitutes painlessly and perfectly. Fits in my old cigarette case or the watch pocket of my jeans. Occasionally great, sometimes barely enough to satisfy, but always there and always... adequate.

I think the l88b (Blu types) and other hotly debated super-minis are kind of like the Leathermen of the e-cig world - usually not the ideal tool for any given job, but nearly always the one closest to hand, and ultimately the tool you have in your pocket is better than any "ideal" tool you left in the car.

I agree!

I have a 510 (with a box mod on the way), a KR8 - and a Blu.
I use all 3 during the day, with specific juices in each...
(My menthol juice tastes better to me in the Blu than in either of the others.)

Whatever you use and enjoy is the right one...

I started vaping with a Blu. They looked sleek, sexy, and cool as hell. My buddy had one, and let me try it, and I thought to myself "Self, this is the way to go!"

But then, I got mine in the mail, and the novelty began to wear off. As others have mentioned it's... adequate. It does the job. It got me off the analogs. But I found it not as satisfying. I felt like I could do better. So I did a bit more research, and finally discovered the wonder of the Joye 510. I'll add my voice to the others in recommending one from the gals at Cignot - great service, great selection, and super-fast shipping.

Good luck! :)

I hate Blu...HATE them. I started with them(got duped by their great marketing) and had nothing but trouble, sent them back and then got a Tornado....heaven....but still wanted 510 a PCC kit so got a Revolver Gemini(charges manuals and only have to push the batts in to charge).....IMHO.

I am partial to 510s like some others here. I am totally happy with my current Tornado(same as Ego) and Gemini(also a 510)... If you are a moderate to heavy smoker then I think get a 510.......but everybody is different.

The revolver elite was mentioned. After my Blu nightmare I was not liking any "mini"....BUT.....this lil kit surprised me. If there is a little brother kit that can kinda keep up with 510s its this. Great vapor production as compared to Blu or Volcano(both from the same factory)....... Revolver bulked up the atty bridge with this so there is alot more cart contact. Revolver also mentions that this size kit is more for light/medium smokers.........something Blu might want to consider IMO.

Well its all opinion and preference........so if you are a freight train smoker like I was, I say 510 size(Tornado/eGo, Janty 510, Revolver Gemini kit if you want a cool PCC, etc.). If you want a more regular size cig and are not a heavy smoker, you will be very happy with a Revolver Elite. Firechick said it best!!!!!!

Good luck..........I like the Tornado vid from Totally Wicked. It shows the workings and cart filling part....the basics. :

Wicked-TORNADO E-NI or Electronic Nicotine Inhalator Black.

I am partial to the tornado, you get an extra atomizer and spare parts are a little cheaper but in fairness here is the Ego link(same product).

Janty USA - eGo SET - Black MANUAL VERSION

and the Elite that was mentioned:

Revolvercig.com Starter Kits

Good luck!!!!!!!
