how hard do you puff/draw on your device?

air flow.... depending on your coil. juice, watts and air flow will determine the best flavor redemption. slow airflow allows the juice to "burn" due to the lack of cooling provided by the airflow...

makes sense, i'm a noob sorry :p. i just noticed it tasted very horrible unless i really took a good airy toke.

silly question i know but i'm just curious... do you find yourself sucking more air through your ecig than you would a normal cigarette? i've tried putting my ecig to my mouth and hardly sucking at all and noticed that it tastes just downright horrible unless i take a nice hard drag of air through it.. what causes this? :p
Not necessarily silly... but perhaps a bit too vague. When you ask a question - assume that we know nothing about you or your vaping equipment (which is true) - and that specific information can be very useful in developing an objective response.
"Ecig", in the broadest sense, can be anything from an actual cig-a-like, like a blu or Joy, to an eGo and clearo set... to even an APV and RBA - although it's highly unlikely anyone with the latter would have asked the question in the first place.

If (and I'm guessing here) you are referring to a cig-a-like - each brand has somewhat unique "experience parameters" - including their vacuum activation, automatic operation threshold, so the best you might say, after comparison, is that one has a harder or softer draw, and a corresponding flavor value.

It's been so long that I've used a cig-a-like (blu) that I don't have the slightest memory of the experience. ;)

I definitely drag for a longer period than I did with a cig for the same amount of intake. These things perform better inhaling slow anyways. Too fast and im liable to get juice in the mouth. I think I take more drags of an ecig than I would during a smoking session with a regular cig. I guess because with a regular cig, I couldn't handle much more, they were nasty. I currently vape at 12 mg which is puff for puff less than a regular cig I think, so it might all equal out.

When I used cartridges I had to draw on those harder than I do the cartomizers I now use. I'm also using better batteries with variable voltage (vv) and some with both vv and variable wattage so I can fine tune my vape. I use 2.0 ohm resistant carts cuz they seem to put out the volumn of vape and flavor I like, but this varies from person to person. Sigh, so much to take in.....:)

Depends on how you Vape. Some devices are designed for big lung inhales (mostly for the cloud chasers I think) while others demand a slower mouth only draw. I like the mouth draws personally... I over nic with big lung inhales, and I don't enjoy as much if the flavor.

To your question though, others hit the nail in the head. It's a balance of power, air, vacuum, etc.
If you are on a cig a like, get an ego setup. A lot of people like carto tanks, I loved my Vivi nova and my evods. They are about the same cost as a cigalike (though aesthetically different obviously), but you will have a much better vaping experience.
Good luck!

Just remember, you can't possibly lower the voltage enough to keep the coil from burning your juice and get it to vape. The air must keep the coil cool, in conjunction with the ejuice.

Couldn't figure out why my PT2 kept burning. Kept lowering the voltage. Then I realized I wasn't drawing hard enough on it when I took a pull. That fixed the majority of my problem.

What's odd is that when I used to smoke, I liked a more restricted airflow. But when I started vaping, I didn't. I suppose it's not that odd once you understand why. With analogs, I could never take that big of a breath or it would start to burn my throat. Now with my PV in hand, the vapor is much cooler and I can stand to take a lot more in - and I kind of benefit from it (better taste, smoother TH, etc.) Mind you, I only recently obtained a tank with airflow control, and I will never go back.
