So my week started out rough.
Looking for a summer job to pay for school. No luck.
Waiting for final grades to be posted. Still waiting.
Ran out of fresh attys. Ugh.
So all I wanted was a nice vape. And I find out my eGo is giving out after many months of heavy use. It's expected but, still never a nice feeling.
Order some new gear. Start waiting.
*Flash back a month and a half*
I'm enjoying a walk from the bus drop to my first class of the day. Sarcasm - it was 40 Canadian degrees below freezing. My foot contacts a patch of ice (my right foot - I'm a lefty so only my right foot could be so stupid). I didn't fall, but in a flailing attempt to keep my balance, I can see my Ali'i out of the corner of my eye accelerating downward. 18650 rollin' down the sidewalk like chamillionaire. Blueberry-Marshmallow oozing towards the snow. Don't panic, it's just a flesh wound.
Panic! We've lost the roof. That's right folks, I invented some new words when I saw that beautiful mod on the frozen ground in pieces.
*Present day*
I'm sad every time I look up at my mixing shelf and see my 5 pieces of Ali'i. I don't buy a lot of gear. As it stands right now, I have 2 dead 510 batts, 1 geriatric eGo, and a broken mod. So while I wait for my new gear to arrive, I need to keep busy with all this time on my hands.
I look across the room and what do I see?
Wire strippers
Soldering Iron
Flux
18650's
Leftover components from my electronics classes.
It's like it was all calling my name. There was even a plastic box slightly taller than the 18650.
So here I am a few hours later, just over half finished this mod. I'm happy with how its looking, although it really does look like a generic bottom fed box mod so far.
I just found it humorous how many things had to go wrong in order for something to go right.
If anybody cares to see it upon completion, I may just post an image or 2.
