The Surge tank on the ego works but looks a bit strange. I think it is the best way to vape if you have little kids and are on a shoe string budget. The surge hold the juice where kids can't get to and you just need to push the bottle every couple of drags and get the great atty draw and flavor. I pefer the voltage and battery life of the surge on GLV 2 XL. It went great on my darwin when I still had it. It makes any mod a bottom feeder. It is a must have IMHO. You can read more about the surge and how to get one here

I think the surge tank is one of the better ideas in new products I've seen in a while... but a hundred bucks is a substantial amount of money and is even more then a couple of pretty good feeders that are on the market and not much less than some of the nicest feeders that are out there. I'd like to see it done in a still durable but less expensive and easier to work with material like delrin to get the price down.

The thing is they are probably caro feeders I think there is a big big difference between attics and çartos. Use what ever you can to make yourself happy. I have had a surge tank before they where selling them at stories. It is expensive and on the cutting edge. But that thing is super super well made. The 3ml is coming out soon and is going to be cheaper. The thing to also consider is resale value. I think the surges hold there value. So it is like 20 bucks for over a year of using a great feeder. Just saying :p Right now it is big and expensive but it works great. I waited for one for for a while and got burned with the DoD and the Vapemate. Just happy I got it.

My DOD worked OK. In fact, i still have it. I just never take it out of the house because of the way it looks. I've thought about the vapemate a few times... and have been sorely tempted to pick one up when they are up for sale in the classifieds. Comments are about 50/50 on those. Either they're the best thing ever or they are a big hassle and don't feed as expected. Nothing in between. Every comment I've ever read has been one or the other.

I'm not real sure what you mean by a carto feeder. My bottom feeders do an equally good job feeding an atty or a carto. My top feeder, however, isn't completely friendly towards cartos unless you use a very thin juice... and even then, you end up flooding the center tube. So my top feeder is attys only. I often use a 2.0 ohm 306 atty on my REO Mini and even more often use a 1.8 ohm boge carto on it. My VV Woodville handles attys and cartos equally well. But, that device is all about performance so I use i06's and 306's on it.

I had both the DOD and Vapemate. I like the flavor and performance of the atty but with out the pain of always dripping. The surge works the best. Right up there is the reo. :)
