I thought I'd pass along how I do my long term storage of my cache of nicotine juice and why.

Its a combination of knowing two things:

1. Oxygen and water vapor will seep through any plastic. The only things that dont allow oxy/water though are metal, glass and aluminized mylar bags (actually those do, but its EXTREMELY slow).

2. Nicotine juice goes bad through oxidation and photochemical (light driven) reactions, and also possibly through hydrolysis (water ions reacting with other molecules) - at least that what happens to food. Also high levels of heat can drive chemical reactions in an anoxic environment.

So, I store the individual 250ml bottles in sealed in individual 5mil mylar bags with oxygen absorbers and a dessicant (Drierite aka dehydrated gypsum), the seal needs to be heat sealed, not ziplocked. After its sealed I keep it in a cool place (not hard in Alaska).

I do a bit of long-term storage (20-30 yrs shelf life) of food in case of emergencies. Long term storage of nicotine juice food (especially oils and fats) isnt all that different.
