Some weird occurrences the last few days, sometimes when i go out on the balcony, i can feel a little zap on my lips just as I push the button. This has happened before and previously it was because my wick was too tall(using RSST) and was touching the top cap but this time.. I've examined the deck and there is nothing that could be touching what it shouldn't. I confirmed my suspicions with a multimeter, apparently like 1/3 of the time theres some voltage coming off between the drip tip and the vamo body so most of these I don't even feel. Very odd, any ideas?

For now I've replaced the SS driptip with a plastic one...

I would have a good look at the 51o/positive post insulators in the RSST. I don't have one so I don't know how they are built, but the positive post in my AGA-T goes all the way down to the battery connection. There are a couple of plastic insulators that keep it from shorting, one at the top and one at the bottom. I would think the RSST is pretty much the same.

This is the only way I can think of that voltage could be seen at the drip tip. Let us know what you find out :thumb:

Short = Ground, not free current

Poor ground can let current build looking for a way out. RSST cap sits on an o-ring and may/may not make metal to metal contact with the RSST. Take readings on Drip tip/top cap/upper ring/base -Where it changes is where your problem lies.

I'm thinking 510 connection - poor return ground.
