i have an imren 40amp (as specified) and vapingv for a week now,as i observe my batt for ghe 1st time (fully charge) shes working fine,at 1st i bring my mod at work and vape for 1hours straight maybe 20to30 pops, and it last for 2 days, and then when she no power at all.charge it again, fully charge and then vape for 20to30 minutes again.and leave it home for a 8hours work,i always separate the mod and batteries itself.amd get back home vape for 2hours maybe and noticing maybe not as strong than the 1st time.

i am using stingx mod dual coil .28g kantal 7wraps 1ohms and my charger is generic,am guessing maybe the battery did not go all out because my charger in not good enough, what do you think guys!?or a am just paranoid when it comes to battery power.need your expertise guys tnx

What is the voltage of your battery when you put it on the charger?

A battery will read about 4.2v when it is full. When you start to use it it quickly falls off to the mid 3s and then goes in to a long gradual decline, when you spend most of your vaping time. As it nears the end it again falls rapidly to under 3 volts. You can usually tell this point because it is the "Why am I not getting as much vapor?" point.

At some point under about 3 volts you start to hurt your battery. Anything under 3.0 volts will technically start eroding the cathode of the battery. That will shorten its lifespan, just like overcharging would do (and overcharging is more immediately dangerous). Some chargers might object to recharging a battery if the voltage drops too low, while others will pulse charge and work with it as long as the voltage isn't completely off the charts.

I put all my batteries on the charger before they reach 3.6 volts (ideally 3.8v).

It doesn't sound to me like you've got a real issue, provided your charger is pumping the battery up to a full 4.2V measure. Current battery technology leaves much to be desired, which is why we're not all zooming silently around in electric cars and also why we're forever charging our ecig batteries.

Don't get close to 2.5v or you could discharge your battery, then it's life is done pretty much.. unless you have one of the good chargers that can bring it back from the dead..which won't happen every time..

If you're running on a Variable voltage like an MVP2 and you are meaning that the light goes red as being down on charge..That's a bit different..
It won't let you take it to 2.5v..it just won't fire at a certain point..

Never take a lithium ion down all the way..
When i first started to vape,i would see in the owners manuals of some of my mods that they were recommending to do this..Discharge and then charge it..
I was like ...?
3.6 is the best volts for storage.

a good practice is,once it leaves 3v and hits the 2v area, charge it..

My MVP i just charge it when i'm sleeping..it's a year old and still as good as the day i bought it..

Spend some time at the above link for all the battery information you need to know.

Most of us charge when the battery gets to 3.5v. Shorter charge times create less heat and heat is the number one enemy of Li-ion or LiMn batteries. Even charging at 3.5v I can get an easy 12 hour vape time at 1.8 to 2 ohms. Past that point the voltage drops faster, anyway.
