How long can I keep new cartomizers before I use them? And e-liquid?

Hello,

In my new "quest" switching from analogues to my Volt I bought several things:
  • A smooth sampler (5 cartridges)
  • A pack of 5 24g Country/cowboy cartridges (5 more)
  • A bottle of 18g Country (30mL)

After this I kind of got excited and:
  • Used the "Faces of Volt" to get a 30mL of Desert Joe
  • Bought 2 bottles (each 5mL) of some other flavours in 18g and 12g
  • 2 Nano Clearomizers for my Volt

I am not using my Volt that much.... and I don't want to use it more often just for sake of using it and increasing my nicotine dependence...

I use my Volt in about 4 (maybe 6-8 on weekend days) sessions per day, each session being about the same as smoking a regular cigarrete. I am basically spending one cartomizer per day and a half...

Now my problem: at this rate I still have enough cartridges for about a week, and enough liquid for over a month!!!!

Now, I am worried about whether the e-liquid "goes bad"... or the cartomizers... Does that happen? Can I keep a brand new flavored cartomizer for say 2 weeks before using it? Can I use e-liquid for a month or does it "go bad"?

Thanks for the info as always!

I usually toss a carto after vaping about 20 ml of juice through it. That takes me a week to ten days using only one carto constantly at my vaping rate. I have used a carto for more than twice as long and with twice as much juice but I find the best taste comes with weekly change outs (20 ml or so).

How long you keep a carto also depends on how much you liquid you vape through it and the juice you are using. Some flavors will develop off-tastes in a carto or tank sooner than others. Higher wattage vaping can also have an adverse effect on how long a device will taste good.

Long life for a carto also means you can never burn them during use. Once burned, cartos or clearos never taste good again.

Glycerin USP (VG) in a sealed and unopened container can store for at least 4 years. Once the container is opened and the VG is mixed into juice it sould be used within a year to 18 months (if properly stored in a dark and cool location). Most better quality e-liquids and nicotine bases (for DIY) will be labeled with a lot number and expiration date.
