Okay, so I did this 2 hours ago and just a few minutes ago the rescue squad left.
So 35 + yrs smoker, vaping almost 2 years.
Lost track of time. But let's go with 2 hours.

Keep up the good work. They say you can get used to anything if you do it long enough - even hanging.

Smoked: 10 years
Vaped: 2 weeks
Held breath for: 2 minutes (lying down cause I'm lazy)

This is quite interesting for me, I had never really checked. I do scuba diving and always meet free divers. It's fascinating what they do underwater for the length of time that they do. Me myself I prefer to actually breath while underwater haha!

About a minute unless the dogs have gas then I can go quite a bit longer..

When I smoked I wasn't able hold my breath long enough to change a poopie diaper, had to do the turn and gasp for air. Now I can easily hold my breath long enough to clean the litter box or when one of my labradoodles has fire bum from eating the wrong thing without getting a red face from stress.

Dogs help you to increase your breath-holding record? Then I'm getting a skunk.

You could probably vape underwater too. Think of the sick cloud bubbles, man. Of course, I'm not recommending that you try this, just in case you end up as one of those tragic news stories involving e-cigarettes and stupid vapers.

My 15yr old who runs track and cross country just tried this he got 45 sec and he is in amazing shape.
Doesnt mean squat. I was not as "good" as endurance swimmers but could sprint 50-100 yards without taking a breath. Sick (right now) i can hold my breath about 90 seconds not sick i imagine closer to 3 minutes. Of curious note i have a larger than average lung capacity with a natural (and i mean natural at 135lbs i still had a 44" chest) large chest cavity i have been able to hold more in. It all comes down to genetics. The better objective would be if someone actually measured pre/post smoking in order to gauge the outcome. That being said i was one of the few running on the bike paths and cycling while puffing on analogs...
