how long can you leave juice in an rta?

curious b/c i don't vape too crazy excessively, maybe at most 2ml a day, but i do tend to get bored of flavors quickly... and i was considering buying a few cheap tanks and having dif flavor juices in each tank so when i get bored throughout the day i can swap only my mod... so my question is per the subject.

ima guess it shouldn't be too huge of a deal if it's just a week or so right? b/c my only concern is the chimney/drip tip area is open vs unlike a bottle.

I always noticed that if I left a juice in my Kayfun for more than 3 days, it started to get a strange taste. YMMV.

The average tank is around 3.5-4ml so you should be fine going through 2 ml a day with a tank if you don't vape much. I've left juice in a tank for a week and it was for the most part fine. The flavor was a little different, but it was vapeable. At your pace, you shouldn't have that experience.

I've currently got 15 tanks in a rotation. I generally use 4 of them per day. Some go a week before getting used again. I do have one with some unflavored that I made that doesn't see use but about every 4 or 5 weeks. last time I hit it I got a kind of musty taste to it. Thinking about cleaning it and refilling.

maybe, if you switch flavors often and don't want to have multiple tanks just sitting, an rda is a better option. In addition to be able to change flavors on a whim, you will never have a tank of juice just sitting around, and the amount of flavor and vapor you will get is unparalleled by any other type of atomizer.

I have found a Subtank Mini that had the RBA section in it with JOCC cotton wick that I had forgotten about and it was about 3 weeks unused and the juice tasted just the same as before.

I find that the type of tank makes a difference. Kayfun/orchid type tanks with the fire box in the middle of the tank tend to heat the juice while you vape. Makes it turn colors and will effect the flavor as well. After you heat the juice, the longer it sits, the wonkier the color and flavor will get.

As other users said, definitely makes a difference depending on the tank.

I find in general the juice will get a little darker, sometimes it'll almost "steep" the juice a bit. The flavors may be a little more intense (for the better or for the worse). Also, when the coil/wick has juice sitting on it for a while it'll sometimes be poppy/crackly for the first few puffs. It shouldn't be a big deal/should go away relatively quickly. Worst case scenario you might need to swap out a coil if its been too long. A few days or even a week shouldn't be too weird though.

+1 on the dripper idea. It depends on how sensitive you are to flavor, but a week or so won't be harmful.

I've left juice in tanks for 3+ weeks on end....and it seems like it "ages" somewhat and it taste actually better. I've seem where the juice is clear than all of a sudden it turns dark, but has like this "nutty" flavor and (to me at least) taste a bit better.

If my sit long enough to start altering the color of the juice, I dump it and rewick it. I vape clear juices, so if it sits for a few days the coil tends to turn the wick a dark color, probably leeching the caramelized sugar onto the wick, which in turn leeches into the juice in the tank. Probably nothing to worry about, but it sort of weirds me out, it looks like rust.

Me too. I also use light colored juices and DIY just about all of it. If it isn't the color it was in the bottle, it goes down the sink.
