Im using a Reo Grand @ 6 volt with a 3 ohm Boge Carto, with either Gorilla or Bobas. Im only getting to run about 3-4 mils through the Carto til it starts tasting like crap. So at a $1.20 a Carto, which last 1 1/2 - 2 days I really cant complain. Are you guys getting them to last longer, or perhaps not that long?

Is there anything you could add to BB to not change the flavor but thin it out so it wicks better?

On my side, no, adding to it would be a change in the recipe. However, a few drops of distilled water (per 6ml) seem to do the trick for many customers without diluting the flavor or drastically changing the nic strength. However, and I might get hanged for this... at $1.62 (ish) anything over a few days seems to be a good deal. I'm primarily an atomizer person so I have to get 7.50 to last awhile, though the DC cartos might be my main "tomizer" device if I didn't have to check so many different liquids each day.

I use mainly the DCC's with AVE and I get 1-2 weeks before I clean them, then get another couple of days and I vape at 5-6v.Have no problem with any of AVE juices wicking with that set up in some tube mods and VV box mods I got.It seems to me the filler in these DCC'S are better than the single coil boge or smoktech. Now I do use 1.7-2.0ohm smoktechs in my 3.7v batts when need hands free at work and I mix BB and RAF with a little unflavored PG and it helps them 2 flavors wick better without losing much flavor IMO.

Great info i'll try the distilled water.

I guess I worded the question wrong, it certainly wasn't intended for AVE. Changing the recipe of one of the best juices on the market would be a tragedy.

I have a Boge 3.0 carto in my Lava Tank filled with Gorilla running at 6.4V and its still ok after about 3 straight weeks.

This is the way to go :thumb: Cartos typically last a lot longer in tanks because they're always kept good and wet (makes for a better, more consistent vape, too).

I loved cartos at first, until I got an hh357. with bobas I was chuckin cartos every couple of days... I came up with around 20 bucks a month in cartos, I just passed the 1 month mark and the atty is still kicking, so i will stick with it. I will be trying the Big Hitter (reo@6v w/boge 3ohm cartos) pretty soon, however after seeing this post I will consider skipping that and just getting a 3ohm hh357. I like that I am supporting an american modder by buyng these instead of the chinese cartos. :)

A red dirt REOnaut!!

For the people that think their cartoz are still good after more than a day or two have never yanked out the carto's stuffing and looked at what they are inhaling. Try going through 10ml of any juice you choose, doesn't matter how clear or pure because after you look at how burnt the wrapper around the coil is, you will realize that why cartos were meant to be disposable.

I used to think that I could use the same carto until it died, which could be over 3 weeks or even longer. Then I noticed that my throat would start getting irritated before even going through 10ml of juice. Started blowing out the carto in an attempt to flush it out, even tried washing them but all that did was clean out the filler. The problem lies within the wrapper that goes around the coil, not the filler itself. That black burnt crap you see when you yank a carto apart cannot possibly be good for you to inhale and there is nothing you can do to prevent this. My Precious-LV2 is variable voltage and I have tried lowering the voltage down to 3 volts, the carto's coil wrapper still burns and is all black. Keep in mind that I use a liquinator and always keep my carto overly saturated.

I urge people to try going through 10ml then ripping apart that carto and see for yourselves. Carto brands won't matter either, I have Boges, Bauways and Smoktechs in all ohm ranges and the end result is the same. I toss cartoz daily and sometimes twice a day. Came to the conclusion that cartos are so cheap that changing them once a day is better than being a cheapskate with a sore throat.

I respectfully disagree. Horizontal, bottom coil cartomizers (i.e. Bloog, Volt) do not have this issue. There is no wrapper around the coil to get burnt. I rip mine apart occasionally for various reasons. There is a cotton wrapper around the center tube, but it makes no contact with the coil, which is sealed in the bottom. If you yank out the filler and leave that wrapper on you can actually use the cartomizer to drip as well, cheaper than an atomizer. I usually vape these on my eGo with a 510 to 901/808 adapter, works great. Get about 5 refills with GJ before the flavor change, clean and repeat.

Tacoma Wa,
The ones with filler last me about a week. but i keep em wet. They give me the best TH.

I like the clear wick styles the. I made one last a month of daily use by taking it apart and cleaning it and moving the dark part of the wick to have new wick inside the coil.. then i got some donated cartos so i started using those
