How long did it take for your taste and smell ...

......come back after being a smoker? I was wondering if our taste and smell has been weak for so long, it probably effects tasting and smelling new juices for a 1st vaper?

Smell within a week, but I'm smelling stuff I never wanted to smell mostly.

Taste is the same as when I was smoking IMO; ten weeks vaping.

Took about a month for me.
Went out to eat for a nice steak, used to put a lot of pepper on my food and did the same not expecting any change. Took one bite and gagged. Had to order a new one because I screwed it up so bad.
Smell is fantastic. Being able to smell the outdoors without there first having been a rain is fantastic.

I guess I was lucky, or I was just born with an extremely sensitive sniffer and licker. Smoked PAD for 20 years roughly and I still enjoy walking down the street and smelling peoples flower and the random smells of nature. And I can taste stuff pretty well as I'm an excellent cook but I cook by my sense of smell and taste as opposed to recipes.

But now you got me thinking..when my smell/taste does pick up alot of things may become too strong smelling and annoy me hah.

Only been two weeks for me and I can notice cigs nasty smell on clothes and on people already.

It took me about a week to get the smell back and 3 weeks for the taste to come back. I actually think my sense of smell is better now than before I started smoking, all those years ago. But I did smoke for about 27 years, so my memory might be playing tricks on me

I've even found I need less coffee in the mug now, plus I've started to like the taste of olives too - used to think they were totally yuck.

I don't like coffee as much as I used to, either. It gets worse though, some day you'll fart and want to vacate the room or you'll be the one to notice the stinky garbage first.

Took less than a week for the smell and about a month for the taste buds to kick in.

I have 4 dogs. I'm thinking of picking smoking back up so I don't smell the awful things they pass. **sigh**

I've always had a good sense of smell, from what I can tell it has stayed the same. After 3 months my taste is the same as well.

Hah one day my smell saved our building from going up in flames. Woman started an ashtray fire and I smelt it while I was in the shower..that was a quick shower. She didn't smell anything (as usual) and we got outside to a 5 foot tall flame climbing the wall.
