I'm two months in... still haven't found a reliable, sure fire clearo (tho I am giving the T3 a second try and testing out the mini nova on the next shipment), found one ejuice I really love and a bunch of others that are okay and a few that suck... at times it's frustrating but vaping a so-so ejuice in a leaking/muted clearo is still better than going back to cigs imo... so just to help put things in perspective, what about you guys and gals?

Almost a month for me, Started with a G6 from halo, Just recieved my 2 Visions 1300 mah Spinners, is working really great for me so far. Im using clearos (rebuildable) and have a few vision nanos I dont want to waste and one reg cart for my atomic bomb juice.

The G6 really did help me get started and off analogs from the first day.

Smoked for 40 years, just over 1 pad. full flavor 100s.
Just bought a nice tackle box to house all the odds and ends, juices and so on. I have dogs and this keeps everything safe from them also keeps the juice in the dark and cool. makes for happy nicotine.
I did try a Vamo and really liked it but that is for a future time.

Technically it took me a year...but I wasn't using my ecig for most of that time! Lol! I started off with a 650mah Ego-T and hated the atomiser. I started using cartomisers but found it really off-balance and cumbersome and I started smoking full time again. I had bought the 510-T but thought the battery life would be rubbish and not suitable for my needs. Ultimately, I discovered PCCs for my 510, put cartomisers on the batteries and I've not looked back.

As for juice, I know what I like although I've had a lot of (expensive!) fun trying other flavours. Fruit just doesn't cut it for me but I like the idea of it... some tobaccos are just naaaaaasty and desserts haven't done anything for me! I stick with 'Virginia' and in my next DIY job I'm going to be using 10% Virginia to 5% Honey to give it that extra smoothness like the pre-made stuff I'm used to! SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!x

It actually didn't take me too long, but when I started the choice was drip, or use crappy cartridges. I think within a week I switched to dripping. I have tried a bunch of cartos/clearos, Ego T, Ego C, but still go back to dripping. Battery size has increased as they have come out from 650, to 1000, to 1100, and now the EGO APV. However I do have a box mod on the way but it took me two years to decide I wanted one!

I'm not "settled" on a setup but I really like what I've got now. I agree with Iron Molly here - dripping is the way to get the best flavor from your juice, and it's all I do at home (at least til I get my RBA set up) but I've still got a lot of flavors to try. I got lucky and found a few I really enjoy, and you will too. :) I've got my "favorite" brand of dripping atty, and a couple other brands that are ok but not amazing, and a couple that taste terrible (go ahead and spring for the bridgeless - you'll be happier in the long run).

At work and in the car, I use an ego twist and a clearomizer (the Vivi Nova Minis have treated me well, and CE5s are also good) but the flavors are so muddled compared to dripping at home.

I've really gotten interested in vaping and am getting more involved in the community every day, and it's taken a couple months. I started vaping in 2010 with a Joye 510 and a carto kit, and quit after a few months to go back to the stinkies. I got my twists in August and have been completely smoke-free since November, so it's taken a few months, but the important thing is to keep learning, and keep trying new things and asking for advice until you find something that really works for you.

I found juice I could vape all day before I even switched to e-cigs (via a friend's eGo). Took me about a month of DIY to concoct a few standardized recipes that would suffice if I ever stop experimenting - that list continues to grow though.

The tech changes and grows so rapidly, can one ever say he/she has truly found the magic setup?

I was satisfied with my KGO's for 8 months, never thought twice about it. My first foray into APV's was less than satisfying; the Bolt is a piece of junk, truly. At last year's vapercon I finally threw down for a Silver Bullet and have been ripping that thing ever since! I could use the SB (with 3000mah batteries) forever. The batteries are the weak link for me - my only problem with KGO's was that I needed to carry two at a time and could not go more than 2 days (4 batteries) without charging. With my current setup I can last 5 days without a charger, and that is with 2 batteries. I would have needed like 8 KGO's to do that!

But now they are coming out with a super-durable VW mod for $60... who knows, it does have my eye.

Took me 2 months to get into carto tanks, which I still favor; now, they have Vision clearos and Vivi Novas. Love the visions but they are too small (and won't natively work with the SB); the vivi is cool but couldn't use one as my main vape. Lord knows what will be around a year from now.

I don't know if 'you' ever settle, I don't! Just keep getting more stuff. Got the DID, got annoyed with the DID, got the MVP (like the device) don't like the tank thingy that come with it, mutes the flavour, tried the DID again, got annoyed with the DID, got a VAMO (great and cheep), tried that with the DID, got annoyed with the DID, put a boge carto on it (great by the way), used the DID again as my wife said, 'if you're spending £80 on it you're damn well gonna use it!' Got annoyed with the DID..........etc.
