I went back in to the store i bought my Liberty-Flgiths vision eGo from today to buy some more juice (vanilla, to go with my tea :p) and the guy got talking about the ecigs. He said if you dont look after them they can last between 3-4 weeks, if you do then 8-9 weeks. I wasn't aware of this when i bought of it, am i going to be buying a new kit every 2 months or so?

Cheers in advance :)

Depends on how fancy you get. I have a stick battery that is still running after more than a year (It was donated to me as my first eCig), most of the built in batteries have X amount of recharges before they start to deteriorate. Then you get into the replaceable battery mods and the tube can last a long long time depending on how well you treat your gear but the batteries will still hit a point where they start to deteriorate, it's just more of buying a new battery (around 10 dollars) instead of replacing the the device.

I think it's: The lower the MAH of the battery the less recharges it gets before it starts deteriorating (Like 200-400 charges) and the higher the MAH the the more recharges you get. (800+ from what I've seen) but I haven't been vaping long enough to see how long my stuff lasts.

Capacity doesn't determine number of charge cycles. It's just that one will go through those charge cycles a lot faster with a lower capacity battery

Yup. Plus it's more likely to be left fully charged or discharged. Supposedly (I can't find hard evidence), lithium-ion batteries last longer the less they sit completely charged or discharged. A small battery is more likely to be fully charged the night before whereas a larger one may spend most nights with a partial charge because it doesn't take a full one to last the day.

I wouldn't even worry about how long the battery is supposed to last. Just use it until it doesn't last long enough for you.

Just out of interest how much do you guys vape? Im sat here at my computer and cant put the thing down! Slightly worried

Conner, don't be worried. You will need to drag on your e-cig for longer than you would on a real ciggie.

BTW, there are so many other Brits about on ECF :) Check out the UK sub-forum -

I really think it has to do with the batch you got your ecig from was a good or bad one, In 5 days I'll be vaping for a full year and that's how long my eGo-T has lasted. I also have a Twist and so for it has been going great for more than 3 months, I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow bur for now and up to now i think i can say with confidence that your ego should last about a year

I only buy the original Joye now, but the others are also good for quite awhile. From what I see on ECF, it's the gimmicky ones that seem to break/die early. The one with lights and gauges and puff counters and such.

Good chance they'll just end up as back-ups when you get the buying mods fever.

If they only happen to last a few months- you'll have gotten your money out of them anyway.
